Two points squandered

Everton 2 - 2 Aston Villa
A great first half of good attacking football saw Everton go in one goal ahead at the break thanks to an excellent finish by Osman, but Everton sat back increasingly and allowed Villa back into the game, through a Petrov strike after a clear penalty appeal was denied. Everton finally won a penalty that the superb Baines completed and they thought that was game set and match... until Agbonlahor planted an easy header for Villa to draw level again. Finally Moyes bought on a proper striker in Vellios, who showed he knew where the goal was but just could not beat a very good Shay Given. Two points thrown away again by very poor management decisions.
