Everton have confirmed the acquisition of Matthew Kennedy from Kilmarnock for a nominal fee, a day after the Scottish club's manager branded the Blues initial offer as "disrespectful."

The 17 year-old put pen to paper on a three-year contract this evening to complete a deal believed to be worth £250,000.

Just a central midfielder for cover and that will be the best transfer window for five years. For all his critics and I have been one of them, he has secured five potentially six players from the sales of three fringe players and managed to keep hold of Jags, Baines, Jelavic and Fellaini. Well done Moyes, now avoid defeat today and what an August we have had, wow haven't been able to say that for years!

Completely agree Gareth. I know it shouldn't matter about the kopites but isn't it hilarious. I might be asking too much but Everton and Arsenal double with Stan James bookmaker is 17/2.
