Crap. Hope the loan for basis is ratified today and he's able to step right in coz Neville and osman in midfield is not a winning combo I fear.

Let's hope the young kid from Belgium or Junior can step up to the plate as the prospect of Neville playing in Midfield for a prolonged spell isn't exactly endearing.

Surely they will pull Fellaini back into Midfield and play Naismith or Mirallas behind Jelavic. Could also put Pienaar in the middle and Oviedo on the left.

I know when we signed Gibson David Moyes said he had a thigh injury that we would have to manage. I hope this isn't the same problem re-occuring, otherwise he may miss many more matches.

If he is out, and the Belgian doesn't go though... Reo-Coker is unattached. Pay as you play...

Put the Belgian in – he knows Felli and Mirallas anyway, should settle fairly quickly...

Bypass the midfield and hoof it up to Felli and big Jelly

You can almost guarantee that someone is going to miss the derby, this will probably be the first of many injuries, I wonder how Jelavic's pubalgia is.

James......pubalgia?

Sounds horrendous, is it the same ailment Mike Hughes is suffering from after the £3.80 Cidergate scandal?

Felli to drop back in to Gibbo's role and Mirallas to sit behind Jelavic.

Simples...

Don't know what you're all so worried about

Mike ooh arrh cider Hughes. Sure is a strange brew – defo the cream of the crop. Maybe try some whisky in the jar while dancing in the moonlight. Of course nothing wrong with ten pints of lager and a packet of crisps. But there's nothing more dreary than a pub with no beer.

As I mentioned on another spot, as good a footballer as Darren Gibson is, he has a history of nagging injuries, he was in and out of the United squad, and consequently Struggled to stake a claim to a regular place in the side.
I am sure Moyes is aware of his fitness problems, and will have to decide on who steps in, rather than move two or three players around, when it happens again.

Typical isn't it? We finally get a flying start and this happens.

Still, if the squad is good enough, we can get through it... but as mentioned not with Pip and Ossie in midfield. They both have experience but are both one-paced and not good in the tackle. Maybe Fella can drop back again with Mirallas stepping up to the plate with Jela?

Knowing Moyes as we do, he will stick with his pets.

Might not be too bad, we don't play again til 17th so he might only miss a couple of games hopefully.

I honestly think Naismith could do a job in Gibsons absence. It will never happen though, as Neville will get the nod.

This over-reliance on Gibson is getting a bit worrying. He's taken on almost talismanic status... it's as if like as soon as he's out or taken off injured, we struggle. The worrying thing is he's prone to these niggling injuries, so maybe we are going to have to get used to these absences. Still, we're now forever being told we have the best squad we've had for years... let's hope it's true!

Tony... Naismith?? Really??

The position requires the ability to tackle. Have you watched Naismith attempt that particular skill?

Let's just say that he's a player of many gifts, and ballwinning isn't one of them.

Balls. The new kid is totally untested so Fellaini will have to drop back, with super Kev going up top you'd think. Or perhaps Oviedo on the left with Pienaar sitting behind Jelavic?
Mike Allison

Naismith in midfield while Fellaini stayed up top would be crazy. Fellaini's best position is still as a genuine central midfielder, and that's where we should plan to have him long term. Gibson's injury simply forces us to play our best player in his best position and start all of our attacking new signings.

Building up some myth that we can't play without Gibson isn't going to help anybody. Fellaini and any one of Osman, Neville, preferably Odjidja or maybe even Francisco Junior in midfield, with Pienaar, Naismith and Mirallas behind Jelavic is really nothing to worry about.

Neville will not be playing for much longer as far as Everton is concerned. Mr Moyes will surely realize he does not fit into an attacking side! We need attacking defenders who can pass the ball!!!!!!

Keep Felli further forward — fouls given against him are further away from our goal! He's better up there anyway.

Has Vadis signed yet?

Please God is a Blue!
