Everton have suspended youth coach Mick O'Brien after an alleged altercation with Everton Ladies goalkeeper, Danielle Hill.

The 1998 FA Youth Cup winning captain, who now coaches the Club's nine to 11 year-olds, is alleged to have hit Hill outside the Blue Bar in the Albert Dock last Sunday night, although there are conflicting reports over who threw the first punch.

Club officials have refused comment but the Daily Mail has published a statement from Merseyside Police saying: "[We] can confirm an investigation is under way following the assault of a 24-year-old woman in Liverpool city centre on Sunday, December 16.

"The incident occurred near to the entrance of the Blue Bar in the Albert Dock at about midnight. The 24-year-old was punched in the face during the incident. An investigation into the full circumstances of the incident is ongoing."

Not a good story at all. Will wait and see what happens but this is the kind of thing we don't need associated with EFC.

I used to go to school with Mick O'Brien. Very surprised to hear about this. Not a good incident for us as a football club to be associated with.
