Pienaar likely to miss London trips

Everton look set to be without Steven Pienaar for the games against West Ham and Fulham after the midfielder picked up an injury in training.

Roberto Martinez suggested after yesterday's win over Chelsea that while Arouna Kone, who was also absent from the game, is likely to recover from a slight knee problem quickly, Pienaar will probably "take a little longer" after he suffered a "grade one soft tissue" problem.

The Spaniard is comfortable with the depth in his squad, though, saying that he "couldn't be happier that we had two influential players missing today and we had other players come in and perform and give their all for the team."

Steven Naismith started in place of Pienaar and scored what proved to be the winning goal in a superb Everton victory in front of the home faithful, the first Premier League win of Martinez's reign.
