James meets Seamus on a recent tour of Goodison Park
James Greenop, the young Evertonian who died when he was hit by a bus in Garston last week, was buried today at a funeral attended by hundreds of mourners.

Everton FC were represented at the ceremony by Leighton Baines and Seamus Coleman, two of James's idols whom he met just three days before the accident during a tour Goodison Park, an occasion the 10 year-old described as the best day of his life.

James's coffin was draped in an Everton flag and he was laid to rest with a home jersey signed with a touching message by Baines.

James’ family have set-up a JustGiving page to raise money for the Wirral Autistic Society in his memory in the hope that some good can come out of his tragic death. Donations can be made by visiting justgiving.com/Helen-greenop.
