Everton's U18s advanced in the FA Youth Cup with a 4-3 victory over a Birmingham City with George Green's 89th-minute free kick proving to be the winner.

Calum Dyson put the Blues ahead in the first half but they were pegged back shortly before the hour mark by Koby Arhur.

Goals by Courtney Dufus and Green had seemingly put the tie to bed at 3-1 but McFarlane struck with 10 minutes to go to make it 3-2.

Even at 4-3 after Green's piece of set-piece magic, the visitors refused to lie down, with O'Neill ensuring a nervy finish before the referee's whistle called time on an entertaining game.
