Captain will miss West Ham and England Games
Phil Jagielka is out of Saturday's match against West Ham United with a hamstring injury, Roberto Martinez has revealed.

The manager said in his press conference this morning that he expects his Captain will be sidelined for about two of weeks and that he will also miss England's friendly against Denmark next week.

“Phil's felt his hamstring a little bit over the last two days," Martinez said. "He's going to be missing the game at the weekend and he's going to be missing for England. I don't think it's going to be a long-term injury but Phil is going to be missing for a couple of weeks.”

Jagielka missed three games around the turn of the year with a hamstring strain and was also withdrawn from the FA Cup Fourth Round tie at Stevenage in January as a precaution following a recurrence of the same problem.

He was a surprise inclusion in the next match against Liverpool at Anfield, though, and has featured in every game for the Blues since.

Martinez has options in reserve, with Antolin Alcaraz believed to be over his fitness problems and he is Jagielka's likely deputy when the Hammers come to town this weekend.
