Reports: Hibernian in talks with Stubbs over managerial vacancy

Everton have apparently given Hibernian permission to hold talks with Alan Stubbs over the manager's job at Easter Road.

Stubbs, currently the manager of Everton U21s, has experience of the Scottish League having spent five years at Celtic and is one of the contenders being interviewed by Hibs, although Mark Venus is believed to be the front-runner.

Should Stubbs take the role, he would be the second member of Roberto Martinez's backroom staff to leave this summer after Alan Irvine accepted the manager's position at West Bromwich Albion.
