Everton U21s are playing another warm-up friendly, this time at Thorp Arch in Leeds. New acquisition Brendan Galloway makes his first appearance in an Everton shit, slotting in to the Blues defense.

The game kicked off at 2 pm on Saturday and Everton U21s took the lead through another recent signing, Sam Byrne, who smashed home a nice half-volley to set the Blues on their way.

Conor Grant and George Green came on for Everton at half-time, Williams and Byrne going off. But the Blues allowed Leeds to equalize soon after.

Byrne came back on in place of Duffus after 69 mins and there was a close escape on the Leeds line that could have seen Everton retake the lead but it ended all-square at one each.

Everton U21s: Stanek; Jones, McLaughlin, Pennington, Galloway; Ledson, Lundstram; Williams (46' Grant), Byrne (46' Green), Kennedy, C Duffus (60' Byrne).

Telling that Lundstram is playing. Deemed not ready for the first team yet?

Browning, McAleney, Duffy, Garbutt, Ledson and Henen (assuming he signs) will be given some opportunities to show their stuff in a few senior games. The rest are about 1-2 years away.

Any comments on Stanek. I don't rate Robles and suspect the youngster might need to be called on in an emergency.

Report says Galloway was composed and commanding.

I agree with Phil. Stanek has the upper hand in my view, he just needs to show his stuff for the U-21 side and Martinez will take notice.
