U18s thrash Middlesbrough

Everton U18s ran out comfortable 4-0 winners over Middlesbrough at Finch Farm today in their first game of what is now an eight-team league to decide the destiny of the 2014-15 U18s Premier League title.

Kieran Dowell grabbed a brace and there were goals apiece for Harry Charsley and Calum Dyson as the Young Blues ran riot against the team that finished nine points above them in the Northern Group this season.

The result keeps Everton in the hunt for a second successive U18s crown. Each team will play each other once, either home or away, with the team finishing top taking the title.

Good start to the elite league. If we win the U18 league two years in a row, it would really suggest we have some talent coming through. Which we do. Just have to transition them to the next level which is the hard thing to do.

Anybody got the fixtures & dates for the Elite League, as I'd like to get a few games in before the end of the season.

Thanks.
