Roberto Martinez was the guest of honour as the club's Chief Executive Roberto Elstone launched Everton Business Club at Liverpool's Hilton hotel this evening.

The new initiative aims to allow Evertonians the chance to network and do business with fellow Blues, strengthening members’ commercial networks but also providing valuable business insights into managing a team, pioneering leadership, communication, recruitment and supporting local people.

The club's announcement of the launch of Everton Business Club describes it as providing "companies and individuals the opportunity to mix football with commerce and reap a host of benefits too, including the chance to attend four exclusive events featuring members of the Everton first-team squad and influential business leaders, to gain an insight into how football and business work hand-in-hand."

After the event, which was attended over 150 guests, Everton’s Director of Marketing and Communications Richard Kenyon expressed his excitement at the launch: “We want to engage with the vibrant and strong business community here in Liverpool and provide a completely new networking forum, which combines two of the most important institutions in the city – football and business.

“Our vision is to extend the already strong Everton community into the business world and create a network which facilitates opportunities for its members in a familiar and enjoyable environment.

“The launch went very well, with our two guest speakers holding a captive audience. We hope this is just the start of a very successful endeavour.”
