U18s earn another victory

Fresh from their trophy-winning exploits in Texas, the young Blues beat Blackburn 2-1 at Finch Farm this morning.

An own goal by Rovers' Ben Williams and a strike by Shayne Lavery were enough to hand the points to Kevin Sheedy's side who saw out the win despite a goal by Joseph Grayson for the visitors.

Everton: O'Loughlin, Yates, Myers, Baningime, Harrington, Yarney, Lavery, Morris, Brewster, Holland, Broadhead.
Subs: Pierce, Denny, Virtanen, Moore, Corke.

Not bad this young Irish lad, Shayne Lavery, not sure how old he is, might be his last season as an apprentice.

He came on in an earlier game this season and livened things up, hope he has another season at least at Everton.

Best draw a veil over this particular encounter late on in the match and the away team lead by 4 goals to nil.
