Connolly signs 3-year contract extension

Callum Connolly has signed a new 3-year contract extension with Everton.

Connolly was named on the subs bench for the Premier League clash with Southampton at Goodison Park in April 2016, and acquitted himself well as a second-half substitute for Seamus Coleman in Everton's injury-hit defence.

With 18 full games out of 22 in the FA Premier U21 League last season, scoring 4 goals, he was a mainstay of David Unsworth's side and looks well positioned to challenge for first-team opportunities, should they be forthcoming under Ronald Koeman.

Connolly has not been out on loan yet, and that may be considered as the next step in his development.

Another great prospect, well done Callum. Get Walsh and Williams to sign extended contracts now and we'll have all our talented young blues tied down. The future looks very bright!
