U21s trio sign one-year deals

Three of David Unsworth's Under-21s side have signed new contracts that will keep them at Everton for another season.

Striker Calum Dyson and goalkeepers Russell Griffiths and Louis Gray have all put pen to paper on one-year deals contracts as the club continue to assess them as eventual longer-term candidates for the first team.

Griffiths has been at the Blues' Finch Farm academy since his mid-teens and made it as far as the first-team squad sheet last season when Tim Howard was out injured.

Gray, an acquisition from Wrexham and who had a spell on loan at Colwyn Bay last season also featured for the Under-21s last season along with Dyson when the latter wasn't out on loan himself at Stockport County and Chester City.

More of the young lads getting contracts, I'd heard we had a lot of talent coming through, seems it's not all smoke.
