Hi all, Jack Convery made what I thought was a great call on another thread about having a song about Gana to the tune of Enola Gay. I had a bash at possible lyrics to go with it. I've copied the thread below:

'Jack (43) - What a great call for a tune for a song for Gueye. How about the following lyrics to the tune of Enola Gay?

We have Gana Gueye, so you should have stayed at home today
Ah-ha words can't describe the feeling and the way he plays
We've got Gana Gueye, so your going leave here with no points today
Ah-ha Gana Gueye, he's so good he never gives the ball away.'

Be gentle lads!

Wasn't Koeman after him before he signed for Villa?

Doesn't the transfer window seem like a long time ago now? I can't even remember who joined Everton first, Gana or Walsh!

You're right, Koeman did want him at Southampton before he went to Villa. And technically Villa unearthed him but obviously Koeman & Walsh knew all about him and signed him this summer.

But either way, he's turning into a great buy already and long may it continue!

I am old enough to remember a certain song, sang by the Gwladys Street about Peter Reid being worth £1M even though he looked slightly overweight!!

After watching Gana Gueye's performances this season, and especially yesterday, I think the words need changing to:

He's here
He's there
He's every fucking where
Gana Gueye
Gana Gueye
