U18s defeat Newcastle 2-0

Everton U18s beat Newcastle United 2-0 at Finch Farm this afternoon in the penultimate game of the Northern Division under the regional phase of the league.

Goals from Alex Denny and substitute Miko Virtanen sealed the win for the younng Blues.

Despite showing decent form in the last few games, they remain unable to penetrate the top four of the U18 Premier League and after Friday's final fixture against Wolves, they will go into the Second Tier Group for the second stage of the season, where they will meet similarly placed teams from the Southern Division.

Everton U18s: Pierce, N Baxter, Moore, Scully, Harrington, Collins, Bramall, Denny, Adedoyin, Gordon (62' Virtanen), Duke-McKenna (70' Warren).
Subs not Used: Jones, Mampala, Ouzounidis.
