Everton's Tom Davies skippered England's Under-19s as they beat Spain 3-0 to book their place in the European Championships.

The Young Lions were playing the second of three elite qualifiers but today's victory ensures that they will top Group 3 with a game to spare thanks to their superior head-to-head record with the Spaniards and Norway.

Trent Alexander-Arnold of Liverpool scored twice and Arsenal's Chis Willock grabbed the third.

Tom Davies should have been winning his first international cap while playing for the England 1st team instead of Livermore. The England Under-19s are for academy type players, so what's he doing there?

The best of academies that is. Better than nothing huh. Won't hurt his stats.

Well done, Tom, you've done yourself, the club and young national team proud.

Now for some common sense (after having qualified), rest him for the other matches and get him back to us fresh and injury free.

Massive potential in this kid. He's got all the tools required to be a top player. Tackles like a Tiger, got goals in him and sees a pass with great vision.

I was reading he has most goal assists in the Premier League for a player under 21 years of age.

I echo the sentiments. Well done, Tom.

He should now be given some downtime. We don't want anymore disasters.
