Everton have reportedly lured another recruitment specialist away from Leicester City.

Director of Football, Steve Walsh, has brought Scandinavian scout Ole Nielsen onto his team according to the Liverpool Echo.

NIelsen fills a vacancy created by Bryan King's departure to Aston Villa last January.

Foxes glazier Everton mints. Never heard of the guy, but if he helps move us forward, then that's great.

Ole Nielson is keeping schtum about the reported buy out clause in his contract, Leicester are fuming and could hold up the move. TW is in meltdown with the potential permutations and MK is dreading the 10 threads likely to be dedicated to this huge issue.

News just in from a guy on Twitter & Walsh's dog groomer – Nielson is concentrating on his native land's progress in the U21 comp in Poland and nothing has been finalised as yet.

This is good news, the fact that we seem so active as a football club in many different aspects from the development of USM Finch Farm to player recruitment the design of our new stadium and now improvements in our scouting network.

Great time to be an Evertonian.

It's like a new signing.

He is Danish. He is also scout for the Danish club OB Odense. I was a bit surprised to learn that, but the justification is that the Danish club is scouting at a lower level.

You cannot get enough Danes! Keep ´em coming!

5 years at Leicester and they have how many Scandis in their 1st team squad? Schmeichel doesn't exactly need scouting. Then again, what did Bryan King do for us in the past 5 years?

There haven't been many successful Scandi footballers for the past +10 years anything half decent seems to go to Ajax. We should have poached their Scandi 'expert' or Porto's South American 'expert'.

I wish some of those Danish players from the 80s were still available.

Gary (#9). Well, football has become global even in the Scandinavian leagues.

These days, the Danish league is packed with imports from all over the world. Leicester bought the Ghanese Amartey from FC Copenhagen. Like we bought our own Bryan Oviedo from the same club.

Schmeichel is Danish but never played in the Danish league and even his youth career was in England.

Ray,

Her name is Agnetha.

Bit snobby as it is normally without the "h" as in Agneta. It is like spelling it Smyth rather than Smith. Or, as the Londoners would spell it... Smiff.

Agnes Smith is it then, Phil?

The Walsh footprint for developing the scouting system. Let's hope we get some Thomas Gravesen and alike, Ibrahimovic type players for us in the future.

Hope he recommends a couple of Norwegians to sign.

It'll mean at least two less season ticket sales at Mordor.

Does this mean Walsh can sit on his arse and do even less? Not impressed so far with his work.

And no he didn't find Gueye – Koeman was after him while at Southampton.

What's that? Williams! one of the most bang average defenders I've seen. Pickford, £30 million for a goalkeeper! Yes that's a find!

I'm not well and I'm in a bad mood! Lol 😇

When I see the soppy comments about Walsh, I just want to scream in someone's ear.

How on earth can a fan be impressed we have hired a Scandanavian scout. And one you know nothing about, or his success rate in England.

Does anyone scout in England these days? Are we looking for the next Sigurdsson?
