Work on Everton Stadium will recommence tomorrow morning (Wednesday) following tragic the death of Michael Jones.

Lifelong Blue Michael died from injuries relating to an accident reportedly involving heavy machinery at the site last week and construction was immediately paused.

Michael's colleagues, who have been provided counselling in the wake of his accident, will return to work tomorrow following a consultation between Everton FC and stadium contractors Laing O'Rourke on the one hand and Michael's family and Health and Safety Executive on the other.

Everton and Aston Villa supporters alike applauded in unison as a tribute to Michael during Sunday's match between the two sides at Villa Park and the Blues are expected to hold their own tribute at Goodison Park this weekend when they take on Wolves.

The biggest tribute the club could give to Michael Jones is for the players to actually turn up and give a shit.

Most parties seem to have handled this incident very sensitively. Let's keep any other agenda out of this.
