Recent Seasons

Review Everton's campaigns in recent seasons courtesy of the ToffeeWeb Archives

2010-11
Surely a massive opportunity beckons for the Blues to finally crack the top four, and fulfill Everton's mystical 24-year rule...
    1999-2000
A top-half finish eludes a much improved Everton Squad under Walter Smith, despite the dramatic transfer of Duncan Ferguson to Newcastle.

2009-10
Another absolutely dreadful start... but after Christmas, Everton turrn on the form, yet cannot do enough to finish any higher than 8th.
    1998-99
Once more to the brink...  this time with Walter Smith at the helm as Duncan is sold, and Everton are saved only by the fortuitous signing of Kevin Campbell.

2008-09
A dreadful start belies a very creditable 5th-place finish again, this time with a resilient run to the FA Cup Final.
    1997-98
So close to the brink...  Howard Kendall returns but we never get out of the lower half of the table, surviving by goal difference on the last day, thanks to Vialli's Chelsea.

2007-08
Another Top-10 season and a great European adventure that ended in heartache and hangover, the Blues just scraping 5h place
    1996-97
A season to forget...  After scaling the heights of 6th place, a long slide led to further struggle against relegation, Joe Royle's departure, and so on.

2006-07
Without dropping out of the top half all season long, Moyes's boys secure Uefa Cup qualification with a 6th-place finish.
    1995-96
The best season for the club in a long while, finishing 6th in the Premiership.  This was the season of Andrei Kanchelskis, although many other players had a great season, too.

2005-06
The European dream is shattered all too quickly and relegation looks a distinct possibility until a New Year renaissance that eventually petered out into an 11th-place finish.
    1994-95
The season that started so badly, but finished on a fantastic high note at Wembley.  This section includes reports for all matches played that season.

2004-05
A Rooney-less Everton, widely considered relegation fodder by the loveable pundits, adopt a siege mentality to turn things around and secure an unlikely place in the Champion's League.
    1993-94
Includes results & fixtures for season 93-94.  Not much else, because this was the season ToffeeWeb was created.

2003-04
Uproar in May as the Blues do enough to avoid the drop but finish 17th following a dismal season.
    1992-93
Results from the Blues' first season in the FA Premiership following football's invention by BSkyB

  2002-03
David Moyes's first full season in charge yields a 7th-place finish and a Manager of the Year award for the boss.
      1991-92
Results from the Blues' last season in the old Division One

  2001-02
Walter Smith had lost the plot a long time ago... finally, Bill Kenwright opened his eyes and brought in David Moyes, who worked a nine-game miracle to save the Blues.
      1990-91
The Blues' fall from grace continues as the last decade of the century dawns.

  2000-01
A season that will live long in the memory as one of the most dire, dismal, disappointing experiences for long-suffering Evertonians.
      1989-90
Results from the season as Colin Harvey struggles to emulate the mid-80s Golden Years in the face of the Heysel ban on English clubs in Europe.
