ToffeeWeb Mail Bag Submission

"Letters to the Editor"-style messages

Full-length comment pieces should be submitted as a Fan Article, Football Manager-style player wishlists are better off in the ToffeeWeb Forum.

Note: Letters received through this form are assumed to be intended for publication on the site unless specifically indicated otherwise in the text of the message. If your submission is not intended for publication, please e-mail us through our general feedback form.

Please take some time over your submission, using initial caps on your name and adding correct punctuation where necessary. The less time we have to spend editing your message the more chance it has of being published. Some dos and don'tss

Some Dos & Don'ts:

  • Take the time to ensure that your letter is formatted how you would intend it to appear on the Mailbag page. That includes being sufficiently bothered to use initial caps on your name and location, capitalising "I" when referring to yourself and checking for spelling errors.  We get many letters per day and the less work we have to do editing your submission, the greater chance it has of being published on the site.
  • Please try to say something original; read through the latest contributions in the Maibag first (if you haven't done so already) and try not to repeat something that has been posted already.
  • Try to at least spell the names of the Everton players correctly.  Here is the current list.
  • DO NOT WRITE ALL IN CAPITALS — your contribution will be deleted.
  • Please don't try to demean your fellow Evertonians by calling them closet (or actual) Liverpool supporters; your contribution will be deleted.
  • If you must swear, don't use asterisks (e.g. f**k) to partially obscure the word. Have the courage of your convictions and type the whole word.

Thanks for your input!
