This is a troubling story doesn't affect Everton FC directly but, if true, it shows that the game has lost all of its sense of proportion and is being used as a tool for those who seek power and wealth by any means possible.

Very distrubing report about Infantino and FIFA if true.

Aren't Infantino and Blatter from the same town, or district, in Switzerland?

A true 'infantino terrible' if, as it appears, he has learnt 'well' from his 'master'.

Hugely unsurprising – I can't understand why FIFA still exists given the levels of corruption.

I agree with his (and UEFA's) efforts to stop the Euro Super League but know that his real objection is that he won't control it. I worry that UEFA will cook up something that moves us towards a Super League type situation.

It sounds like FIFA will be voting for its own demise.

If this is so, everyone in the Working Party that will make the recommendation to the FIFA Council must have been paid off.

Infantino makes Blatter look like an amateur crook.

On a scale of dodgy dealers and uber fraudsters, it seems like FIFA got rid of Arthur Daley and hired Robert Maxwell.

Blatter was Infantino's mentor and protector for years. Many journos ITK, eg, David Conn, warned the world body about this crook. I am not surprised one iota.

Talking of David Conn, Colin, here's an article from Wednesday's Guardian reporting on the World Cup stadiums in Qatar and the £5-a-day wages.

FIFA, there are no words. Makes you proud to be a human.

Fifa makes me sick, Gary. I love football, and the World Cup, but I hope the Qatar fiasco is a complete and embarrassing failure.

We have a saying here in my part of the world – "You lay down with a dog, you get up with its fleas". The minute FIFA climbed into bed with people of this unscrupulous, amoral, self-interested and hypocritical stripe, they became them themselves.
