Guys, not sure whether you can edit, but just spotted two missing bits:

Dick Roose’s Everton debut came in a 0-1 home defeat versus Sunderland.

Ashworth’s fellow Evertonian Royal Garrison Artillery member was... inside-left HERBERT ERNEST ‘Bert’ BANKS who made 2 appearances in 1896/97 having been bought out of the Army (72nd Seaforth Highlanders) by Everton.

Looking at that photo I was surprised to see Tony Hibbert sitting on the ground in the front row. Now wonder he was upset at his exit after a century at the club.

Another world. Thinking about the 'keeper who got lost in the fog but all they had at the time was horse-drawn transport around town I suppose, and no horse-owner would want to work in thick fog. Shame the club made no apparent effort to meet the lad and escort him to the ground.

Haha, good shout that Phil! An honest error on my part, it should read "famous", you're quite right!

Ah well, completes an unwanted hat-trick of mistakes with the two pieces of information I had to hand but forgot to go back and input to the "finished" draft; see my comment above re: Roose's debut and Bert Banks' military service in the same regiment as Ashworth.

I'll get a well-paid job in football journalism at this rate...
