Danny Coyne?

Jimmy Thomas: Just got back, and am beggining to wonder if Danny Coyne would have been a better buy than Paul Gerrard...?

Once again, we created many chances, failing to put most of them away, hence the close scoreline. Hopefully, a top-quality striker would sort that out (Clubcall saying Jurgen move not dead, or something like that).

Duncan once again is looking good. Speed didn't play as well as he did last weekend, in particular blazing over an almost empty goal from about 15 yards out. Stuart and Limpar both had chances and managed to frustrate a few in the crowd, mainly Anders holding onto the ball for too long. Stuart being generally bad apart from a few good moves.

Earl Barrett had a run out in the 2nd half, and IMHO didn't play too badly -- no worse than Hottiger -- although he might have been at fault for their goal; couldn't quite see that far and it came from his side.

Overall in some parts of the game we really played well, aside from not putting away some chances. But there are too many worrying midfield and defensive lapses that would be punished by a better team. We need to play at a higher level for longer periods in order to put teams like this out of sight.
