We can't really moan about it, as it wasn't all that long ago that we employed such tactics to try and get an advantage over better passing teams.

We used to rough teams up, unsettle flair players (Christiano Ronaldo and the likes of), now it's a sign of how much we have improved, that physical teams are singling out our classier players for special treatment (Fellaini, Mirallas etc). It is up to Moyes and the team to work out how to deal with it and our stronger more physical players to give it back, trouble is, when I look at our team, we don't seem to have anyone with that bit of bite or aggression.

If I could sign someone in January, it would be a nasty, spiteful type of centre midfielder, physical and not afraid to dish it out. Who? I haven't a clue!!

Shhhhhuuuuuuushhh Lee,

That's a well kept secret. Apparently our hoofin' and dirt was sanctified.

Lee - any more of that wishful thinking and the tabs'll have 'Barton destined for Goodison' splashed on the back pages.

Too far Guy, too far!!ha

Besides, I doubt any of our team would understand his accent, allo, zis eez Joseph Bartown.

I did kind of describe Barton though didn't I. I should have specified, with a bit of talent and not a complete tool!

Lee, in fact we've already got a 'nasty, spiteful type of centre midfielder, physical and not afraid to dish it out, with a bit of talent and not a complete tool' - only he's doing a three-match ban.

Ah the one who is playing as an attacker?

I wouldn't say he's spiteful and I've never seen him go in to a crunching tackle, plus when teams get physical with him, he lashes out, as per Stoke...Hence the ban.

Unfortunately Olivier Dacourt has retired.......can't think of anyone else who ticks all those boxes without also being a complete tool.

Pass properly and quickly and we won't have to worry about rough house tactics, it's the slow pace of movement of the ball that allows the physical types to stop our flowing football. There's no point in Everton having an enforcer because the officials will just single him out and he'll spend lots of time suspended. Pace is what we need.

Wish we'd signed Nolan a few years back. Nasty bastard who would run through his own mam to get to a ball. Has improved every side he's played for, hates losing and scores goals. He wellied Anichebe? So would I.
