Andy, Paul, Adam and Lyndon enjoy the rare air of a solid home win for Everton and review the positive response from both the players and the manager to the hammering at Chelsea that led to a 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest at Goodison Park.

They also look ahead to the Merseyside derby where Sean Dyche may have change things again and possibly deploy the little-used Youssef Chermiti up front.

Finally, they touch on the possibility that Farhad Moshiri has re-started the search for additional investors beyond 777 Partners who have still not met the Premier League's conditions for approval of their takeover.

Most certainly tactical flexibility is important. I think Dyche would love to be able to adopt a multi-dimensional approach within and between games. A key enabler though, is having a range of players available to change approaches, adopt different formations and switch points of attack. Very rarely since he arrived has Dyche had viable options to mix things up without risking disaster.

The player who was a catalyst for change on Sunday was Gomes who, notwithstanding his physical limitations, offers a passing game of which very few of our players are capable. The issues have always been about his availability to play 60 minutes once a week.
