The Supabets app is a data-free Android APK downloaded from Supabets’ own mobile site. It is not on Google Play, and there is no App Store version. Installation takes around three to five minutes, including one Android security setting. iPhone users access Supabets mobile through Safari instead, and a home-screen shortcut takes under a minute to add.
Supabets App at a Glance
The table below compares the Supabets app on Android with the iPhone option:
| Specification | Android | iOS |
|---|---|---|
| App type | Data-free APK | No app (mobile site) |
| Where to get it | “Data Free” link on Supabets’ mobile site | Safari at supabets.co.za |
| App size | Up to ~65 MB | – |
| Operating system | Android 5.1 or higher | iOS 14 or higher (browser) |
| Recommended RAM | 2 GB | – |
| Data-free betting | Yes (sports only) | No |
| Casino in data-free mode | No | Yes (mobile site, uses data) |
| Huawei support | Yes, via the same APK | – |
The data-free mode is the standout detail. Supabets covers the data cost of sports betting, which is a real saving for prepaid users.
Is There an Official Supabets App?
Online guides disagree on this point. Some say Supabets has no app at all, while others describe a data-free Android app downloaded through a “Data Free” link on the Supabets mobile page.
The safe approach is to download only through supabets.co.za on an Android phone. Our research also found unofficial pages posing as Play Store listings for “Supabets” apps. Any Supabets app found on Google Play or a third-party download site should be avoided.
How to Download the Supabets App on Android
The Supabets app for Android is installed outside Google Play, so one setting needs changing first:
- Click here to open supabets.co.za in Chrome on an Android phone.
- Tap the “Data Free” or “Download App” link.
- Wait for the APK file to finish downloading.
- Go to Settings > Security (or Apps) and allow “Install unknown apps” for the browser.
- Open the file from notifications or the Downloads folder and tap Install.
- Launch Supabets from the home screen and log in or register.
The same APK installs on Huawei phones without extra steps. Once installed, the unknown-sources setting can be switched off again. The R50 free bet can be claimed on the Supabets app or mobile site. It arrives at 7 am the day after FICA approval, so uploading documents early speeds things up. The free bet must be rolled over 5x on single bets at odds of 3.00+ within 15 days, with a R999 maximum payout. Full details sit in our Supabets sign up bonus guide.

Supabets iOS: Using the Mobile Site on iPhone
There is no Supabets iOS app on the App Store. iPhone and iPad users can still get one-tap access:
- Click here to go to supabets.co.za.
- Tap the Share icon at the bottom of the screen.
- Select “Add to Home Screen”.
- Name the shortcut and tap Add.
The shortcut opens the full mobile site, including live betting, casino games, deposits and withdrawals. It does not offer data-free betting.
Supabets Login on Mobile
The Supabets login on mobile works the same way in the app and the browser:
- Open the Supabets app or mobile site.
- Tap Login.
- Enter your registered mobile number or username.
- Enter your password and confirm.
Saving login details on a personal phone avoids re-entering them on each visit, which some mobile site users find frustrating. Forgotten passwords can be reset from the login screen.
Registering on Supabets Mobile
New customers can sign up directly on mobile in a few minutes:
- Click here and tap Register on the home screen.
- Complete the form with details exactly as on your SA ID or passport.
- Accept the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
- Tap the green Join button.
- Upload FICA documents: an ID or passport, plus proof of residence no older than three months.
FICA approval usually comes within a few hours and takes up to 24 hours. The step-by-step sign-up is covered in our Supabets registration guide.
Supabets App Features
The Supabets app keeps the full sportsbook in a lightweight package. These are the features that matter most.
Data-Free Sports Betting
Pre-match and live sports betting run without using the data balance on supported networks (MTN, Vodacom, Cell C and Telkom). Casino games, and some deposits or withdrawals, still need data or Wi-Fi.
Live Betting and Cash Out
In-play markets cover football, tennis and many more sports. Cash out can be full, partial or automatic, triggering once preset conditions are met.
Book-a-Bet
Bets can be built on the app and then placed at a Supabets branch. This is useful for punters who prefer paying in cash.
Multiple Bet Bonus
Multis on the app qualify for the same bonus as desktop, from 2.5% on two legs up to 125% on 44 to 50 legs.
The table below summarises the app’s main features:
| Feature | Available on the Supabets App |
|---|---|
| Data-free sports betting | Yes |

Our Verdict on the Supabets App
The Supabets app is a practical choice for Android sports bettors on prepaid data. Data-free betting, flexible cash out and the multiple bet bonus all come in a small download. Its limits are the lack of an iOS app, the exclusion of casino games from data-free mode, and conflicting information online about where to download it. The full operator assessment is in our Supabets review. The key strengths and weaknesses are summarised below:
Pros
- Data-free sports betting on Android
- Full, partial and auto cash out
- Book-a-Bet links online and retail
Cons
- No iOS app
- Casino excluded from data-free mode
- Not on Google Play
What Could Be Improved in the Supabets App?
- A native iOS app: iPhone users currently have no data-free option.
- A clear official download page: This would end the confusion and steer users away from fake listings.
- Data-free casino lobby: Even a limited version would serve Aviator fans on prepaid data.
- Higher daily withdrawal caps: Caps on eWallet-style methods frustrate regular winners.
- A modernised home screen: Clearer navigation would help first-time users find live markets faster.
Pros
- • Broad selection of sports markets.
- • Live betting across popular sports.
- • Retail branches offer in-person access.
Cons
- • Welcome rewards carry wagering conditions.
