CB - Carl Tiler
LM - Andy van der Meyde
RM - Niclas Alexandersson/Osman?

Subs: anyone from a good choice of 50!

Okay... since it's close to being dead on here.... but we have done this before... and you know you shouldn't drop Osman's name in casually like that... very naughty!

Don?t forget some a little further back, Dai Davies was one of (if not) the worst keepers I?ve seen. I remember him scoring an own-goal on his debut after about 15 seconds. Gareth Farrelly was abject shite too ? despite his fluky goal to keep us up.

15 minutes, not 15 seconds... makes it sound better than it actually was, he was dreadful.

Surely the worst 11 must include Brett Angell? He was 6’5" of something but couldn’t jump shy of two inches, was slower than a lame carthorse, but did amazingly actually score once. I think. At least Messrs Branch and Barlow were fast enough to make opposing defenders slightly concerned. With Brett Angell they could take the afternoon off.

You?re having a laugh with Osman in there aren?t you? I mean how can Osman keep out the blinding pace and skill of Ian Wilson, one of my all time hated players?!?

Dan, many of the players in your team were decent players before they came to Goodison Park or had potential which they never lived up to. So, in some ways, it?s an eleven who were fucked up at Everton.

Earl Barret ? he?s defo on my list too; he was rubbish. I used to cringe when his name was called out on the tannoy... made Tony Hibbert look world class!

To be fair 85% of the players who put a blue shirt on beween 1990-2002 were absolute fucking dogshite. It's only been the last 6 years that you can say, "Shit, we have a really good team with some shit-hot players."

Fuck me, I mean I ask you ? can you even imagine how we would react now if our star signings this summer were Carl Tiler & Mitch Ward in a dramatic double swoop!?! Holy crap... And this was common place back in the day!!

And people moan that we haven't yet secured the services of Moutinho. Good Lord, the chances of signing someone like him back then would've been about as likely as Lionel Messi signing for us tomorrow.

Madar was pretty good, that?s an odd one. Maybe only in comparison to everyone else in the team at the time... but still.

Gerrard?s definitely the goalkeeper though, even worse than Richard Wright. Thomsen?s a good shout too. Oh my God ? to think these are the guys I had to watch every week. I remember Davy Weir?s debut as a rampaging right wing back in a Walter Smith team with about 6 centre-backs in it. (We beat Middlesbrough 5-0!)

Most disturbing headline from The Telegraph dated Wednesday, 26 October 2005:

"Kroldrup and Van der Meyde set for Everton debuts"

Hope I?m not to old to join in with this debate but surely Rod Belfitt and Bernie Wright should be getting a mention here!!! To be fair, Brett Angell is a good shout!

Goalkeeper has got to be Paul Gerrard.

Claus Thomsen has to be in there as well.
