Everton Supporters Club Malaysia

Comments (5)

To those who don't know, ESCM is an active group of die hard EFC supporters out here in Malaysia. ESCM have in the past donated to various causes in Malaysia with the collaboration of EFC.

We also have our own football academy (non-profitable) which trains young budding players on Saturday mornings. We've had coaches from EFC who came over sometime ago to impart their knowledge of training methods to our coaches and players. We have a lot of good souls who run this academy for free and sponsors like This is Planet Football who donate gear and apparel for the players. Yesterday, ESCM Football Academy U17 team beat the Indian U17 national team 4-0 in a friendly match.

I'm not the voice of ESCM nor am I an active member of their operations and activities but I am an Evertonian and I always will be. I just would like to state how proud I am of these selfless people who give so much of their own time and money for the love of a club far far away. The famous saying that Evertonions are born not manufactured comes to my mind. To Roshan, Slick, Shah, Bing, Amir, Ivan, Prav and all of you at ESCM, I salute you! COYB!!

Got out of the wrong side of the bed this morning Mike?

Why the sarcasm? Having lived in Asia now for nigh on 5 years, and met supporters from Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand, as well as my home Singapore base, it never fails to amaze me why these guys support EFC. And some of them are recent (5-10 years) supporters. Given the Asian obsession with the Sky 4 (aided and abetted by ESPN STAR Sports), I think they deserve a fucking pat on the back.

Jeez, we’re not all lucky like you to live a stones throw from Goodison.

See, I can be ironic too.

Great post Karl and congratulations to the ESCM Football Academy U17 team and all Malaysian Blues involved. Am I right to assume the impressive 4-0 win was not the result of Malaysians? own take on ?hooball?!? ;-)

Nice to hear your activities up north in Malaysia. It’ll be a great idea to have a friendly in Singapore and vice versa with the Singapore Everton Supporters’ Club (www.evertonfc.org.sg). A recent visit to the above website gave the impression that it’s not been updated for ages but there’s no harm if you contacted the chaps running the club and spark some life/activities from there!

Thanks for that Karl... it is really nice to see we have a really good fanbase other than in Britain. And well done for beating the Indian U17’s... considerin India are a whole nation as well. I hope these selfless people carry on with their jobs at ESCM at the future, and long they may continue! It really shows the doubters that we should support Everton for everyone who makes a huge effort supporting them! Up the league!

COYB!
