Lets Get Behind Vic and the Boys

Make no mistake about it, tomorrow is a MASSIVE game. If we can get 3 points from it we will be right in the European hunt despite a very indifferent start to the season.
I went to White Hart Lane last weekend and, despite my major concerns, I thought we put in a very good, solid if not spectacular performance ? and I am hoping for much of the same tomorrow.
I can't make it to Goodison tomorrow but i just want to ask (and I know you will) for ALL Everton fans to give Big Vic 100% support. Yes, he would be very few of our, first-, second-... maybe even our third-choice striker but this is the time we need to back him to the fullest. If he can step up to the plate over the coming months, the loss of the Yak and Vaughany will be less felt.
Come on Vic and Everton ? do us proud!!

I hope people do support him as realistically it?s going to be a very hard game for him. He?ll be playing against two very good centre-halves and he?ll be up there on his own.
Lots of experienced strikers struggle to lead the line as a lone forward. Vic is 20 years old, far from the finished product and he hasn?t started that many games when you look at it. Around 20 games since he?s come through the academy.
There?s no doubting he?s improved this season but, like most 20-year-olds, he isn?t ready to be leading the line week-in, week-out. I?m hoping Saha gets back so that we?ve got more options.
Vic needs support from the team and the fans. The midfield especially need to get close to him and give him support.
I think Big Vic is a good player with bags of potential but my only problem with him is that he plays for free-kicks too often and does not head for goal with the killer instinct! He can go down quite easy for a big fella... it?s so annoying!!!
I was at White Hart Lane last Sunday and I felt we turned a bit of a corner.
No, it wasn’t spectacular and the injuries are a mini disaster, but I saw a togetherness amongst the players that I have not seen this season. Also, the travelling support was magnificent ( especially after the dross result at Wigan ) and you sensed the fans have put the Summer ( which was a total disgrace ) behind us.
Get behind the team tomorrow. First goal, as ever, is crucial.
COYB!!!
He made life very difficult for Ledley King and Jonathon Woodgate in the closing stages last week; however, he showed his inexperience with an aimless overhead kick down the pitch when he really needed to just get control of the ball. It?s at these times the crowd need to stay patient. I know the management have very high hopes of him, I would love to see him prove them right...
Come on Vic lad
Come on, Big Vic! Make my day!!!!
Big Vic has never let us down and always gives his best. If we play 5 in the middle with Timmy just behind him I'm sure we can cause Villa a lot of problems.
I think it’s fair to say this is a very big test for Vic, we need to back him before (and after) the game. A seasoned lone striker would have difficulties against Villa, let alone a cameo one at Everton. COYB!
Very true, Terry, he does always give 100% which is all you can ask from the big guy. I just have this feling he is going to win it for us today!!!
