Cahill Starts Up-Front

Comments (89)

No room, of course for any of those young and unproven resereves strikers like Jutekiewicz, Spencer (what happened to him?) Agard...

And Castillo gets a start!!!! Match comments below....

Cahill is playing excellent. He is holding the ball up really well which is allowing the midfield to get forward to support him. All the forwards being injured may enable Cahill and Fellaini to play in the same side as they don’t appear to have clicked in midfield yet.

I’ll tell you what guys, if Spurs, Villa and City are our main rivals, despite all of their collective fortunes, I think we’re better than all three.

If we continue to play how we have been over the last few games, we’ll do well this season.

I really hope we nick the points today.

Maybe that was the reasion he hasn’t been in the team for weeks?...

he just doesn’t look like the ’defensive midfielder’ he is meant to be... he has no defensive positional sense but is ok with the ball...

but anyway.. who cares for now.. fellaini was class.. for a 21 yr old he is lookin like a world beater (needs to start breaking into a sweat more often tho!)

well deserved win with a continuance of our good form since the embarrassment at wigan... my personal low (and very cold) point of the last few seasons....

will victor or saha now get back into the team?! the positional seperation of cahill and fellaini worked 100%.. they just struggle when playing side by side in midfield...

Just watched the sports news on ITV main news and they said ?Everton won 1-0 at City with a controversial last minute goal?.

What was controversial about the goal? As it's the first I?ve heard of it. ITV have shares in our neighbours and their coverage of both clubs is so biased for them and against us it's untrue.
Well done Blue Boys keep it going.

No, no room (of course) for Jutkiewicz, Agard etc,

Instead, Moyes puts a proven Premiership goalscorer up front who - yet again - scores a vital goal for the Blues.

But what does the manager know, eh ? He should listen to Mr Kenrick more often, shouldn’t he ?

Great game, Ossie, Fellaini and at times Pienaar was all over City.

Neville, once again great game! And defensively Joleon?s best game so far this season.

Castillo, nah. Didn?t think he looked up to it at all. All he?s capable of is passing 5-yard passes sideways or backwards. He hardly ever won the ball or get himself involved.

Great game anyways, we wanted it more and got what we deserved, one week late though.

Seriously though, this shit happens week-in, week-out. I don?t need to explain it to most of you: the success of the global brand depends on the four most popular clubs selling shirts and tv subs in China, the United States and Japan. I?m not saying that referees are given exact directives to favor one club over another, that would be too overt. I think that it is more a case of something like the self-censorship that journos in the western mainstream media are often guilty of. They know where their bread is buttered, and everyone likes butter.

Riera couldn?t have been more guilty of assault on Stevie Me?s first goal had he plunged a knife into, I think it was, McShane?s back.
And today, Crazy Craig Bellamy was denied a nailed-on penalty when the Dog Faced JT yanked him down. These were very clear examples of offences that occurred at the heart of play in the referees direct line of vision. It happens every week.

Then again, Mother Riley was writing today?s script and I have long believed that he is mentally ill.

Cheers for The Parallax View fans. It?s most def one of the great 70?s paranoia/conspiracy films, right up there with The Conversation, Night Moves, Chinatown and All The President?s Men. Rip Alan J Pakula.
