Get Down To Goodison!

Comments (9)

Come on all you TW regulars, why not treat yourself and your loved ones to a pre Christmas present next Monday. I know the probability of beating Chelsea next week is slim, - but with the ongoing debate about Kirkby and given the fact that it will probably be given the go-ahead ? Goodison will not have many more opportunities to show what an amazing ground it can be.

Also, if there is a potential buyer out there, perhaps a full house and a victory over Chelsea might help persuade them to part with their cash. Everyone keeps harping on about not leaving the city, so show how important it is to so many and get down to Goodison and give it loads. [This was not a party political broadcast on behalf of any party!]

I ripped up my Park End season ticket the day Kenwright mentioned Kirby.

Are you drunk Anthony? If we were playing Chelsea away then maybe we’d have a chance.

Remember a few seasons ago, 2005, when we had a horrendous start and Chelsea / Mourinho were in their pomp. We were the first team to take a point off them, and could easily have won, a Fat Franky screamer equalising Beatt?s pen. Why can?t we beat them? We owe them one!

As a season ticket holder in the Lower Gwladys, I will be there, but as for a full house, no chance; the reasons:

Monday night;
Live on the box;
3 days before Xmas.

Hope I?m wrong but I would think we will do well to get anymore than 32,000.

I predict a 1-0 win for Everton watched by a crowd of about 33,900!

We owe them one and we are due a Home win.

Whe I have my crystal ball out, the goal will come from an Arteta set-piece and the scorer will be Fellaini.

Okay, Chelski?s 8 away wins looks formidable against our poor home record but they were average against the Hammers today and may be due an away defeat, especially as Everton yesterday looked just as good without the 4 regular front men, which may not say much but a great work ethic next Monday may just get a result.

Mmmmmm.... looking forward to it. Well, looking forward to one (probably remote) possibility.< A daaark... frosty... misty... freezing... fucking cold night hopefully. Three or four pints of Guinness in town, taxi to the Blue House, curry and chips from The Supper Bar, then inside to that most magical of magic places.... Goodison... under floodlights.

As Brian Sewell said (after the 1-0 Duncan-Utd game) "for pure savage beauty, Goodison under floodlights shits all over the Manet".

Then kick-off and... good news! A couple of bad decisions go against us early on. This is ex-ACTLY what we need. The cue for anger, venom, noise and self-righteous alcohol induced bile.

Normally placid, rational office workers begin to insanely vent "HEY HEY HEY, LAMPARD, YER FUGGIN KUNT TAWT FUGGIN TWAT, YER TART TAKES IT UP DEE SHITTER, YER FUGGIN UGLY CUUNT NOBHEAD!!!!!"

And..

"COLE YER ONION HEAFED TWAT YER FUUGGIN TART TAKES IT UP THE AAARSE!!!"

If we get one of those nights, we could get a point. Fuck it, we could even... I dare not even say it!

Everton, Everton, RA-RA-RA!
