Surely one Neville is enough?

I read this morning that Everton are poised to offer Gary Neville a contract. Now don't mis-interpret the title of this post as, whilst Pip is not the most gifted of players, I have always defended him on these pages as he is honest, hard-working, a motivator and leader of men. I am also pleased to see him playing well AT RIGHT BACK this season. Gary Neville, on the other hand, is a tosser who also players RIGHT BACK, has been out of the game for almost a year and is 2 years (or so) older than Pip. WTF do we want or indeed need Gary Neville??
I am hoping it's pure Sunday paper bollocks.

It is bollocks, Matt.
Why would he want to come to us anyway when he ?hates scousers??
He?s a tosser and not welcome.
There is a very good chance this deal could happen. He wouldn?t cost much or even be on a free I think. But surely this would mean G Neville right back & Phil in the middle. With leaders now departed at Everton in Ferguson, Stubbs, Weir & Carsley, we do need to bring players in that can do this as I do feel that is what we are missing. I'm not a big fan of G Neville but he is a good footballer and would be a good leader.
Check out the journalist who ?broke? this story lads ? Mr Andy Dunne. Big scouse red who is no doubt chuckling in the ale house with his mates at the consternation his fabricated story has caused. Incidentally, you may recall when Rooney was a blue and said Mr Dunne used to slag him on an almost weekly basis.
Sounds like red-top rag rubbish from a redshite gobshite gutter hack. More chance of red roo returning to roost at his goodison roots (or Riquelme!)
When they played Schoolboy football together, Phil was the captain. As he?s now a grown up, I don't think he?d be too bothered either.
Oh please no.
If we are lucky, and I mean really, super, unbelievably, redeveloping Goodison, billonaire Evertonian investor, lucky, then this report will turn out to be bollocks.
Finger crossed.

If Gary Neville comes to Everton, I'll personally wait at Finch Farm and break his legs! So don't worry, we will never have two Nevilles!
The story in question came from the News of the World... need I say more?
Now I know that Phil Neville was there probably more to do with his past than his present, but he was our player at the City of Culture’s big sports bash tonight (BBC Sports Personality of the Year) and Moyes was picked out among the celebs going in. Not many current RS? Zero, but I might be wrong.
On the subject, many Merseysiders know their cycling and must have been delighted by the way the nation recognised their achievements tonight, spearheaded by Chris Hoy. Personally, I was delighted.
Gary Neville’s knees have had it so I don’t think this story’s got any legs!
Stop this Horror Story everyone! It’s Christmas coming up and not Holloween!
No please no. Have Mercy.
Matt, it's the old scenario, DON'T believe everything you read in the press.
Norman, I’d go one further and say don’t read the papers. Full stop.
Journalism these days is half clueless guesswork and the rest irresponsible fabrication. Not just the footy reporting either!!
Never mind the story not having legs. I don?t think Gary Neville does anymore does he?
I dont know about another Neville but it is more worrying to read in these posts that Ferguson was a leader (Terry Smith). Evertonians are generally thought of as being knowledgable... don't let the side down Terry. There are many different opinions on Ferguson but one thing he certainly wasn't was a leader.
Does he still have that moustache that makes him look like one of "The Sparks?" I can’t see him fitting in with that facial hair. P.S. anyone else see Bobby Charlton get his award on Sports Personality last night? He was on stage with many footballing legends and our very own Phil Neville. Is there something we should know?

Gary Neville is past it, he?s 34 and Phil Neville, Tony Hibbert and Lars Jacobsen are all better options in my opinion.
Anthony Millington - "Gary Neville 34 & past it"
Moyes will probably give him a bumper 4-year deal then!!!
Marc, since when did Moyes offer players a long term contract when they’re over 30? Or are you just jumping on the Moyes bashing band-wagon? Anyways, there’s no chance of G Neville signing. Just paper shite.
We could also sign Scholes in about three years, when he is pushing 38. Anymore "Fledglings" available?
Robin Finlay - Um? Let me have a think!
Oh Yes, the name Neville rings a Bell!
Philip Neville in fact this very year, over 30 & a bumper 4-year deal.
