Dan Gosling starts....interesting.......very interesting.
guys, try this link http://the-success.blogspot.com/ hopefully the game will be on this.
Why isnt Van der Meyde playing?! I hope I’m wrong and Gosling scores a hat-trick today... c’mon Everton!!
Away with the armed forces, managed to find somewhere with a wirless connection anyone got a link for the game ???
Does anyone know what has happened to Castillo?
Gosling? What the hell? Has he even appeared as a sub yet? Surprised he hasn’t started AVDM. Looking forward to seeing what Baines can do with 90min. Maybe Lego Man Hair will let him take a free kick at some point.

Castillo has a hamstring problem. Either that or an inability to understand the manager’s instructions.

we’ve lost this, seen the ref?
If the writing was’nt already on the wall for van der Meyde regarding having no future what so ever at Everton then Gosling making his debut a head off him is a massive hint!! even in hard times like these injury wise he still cant get a game poor lad, i for one would of liked him to have been given a chance and for me starting Gosling is a bigger gamble than it would be starting van der Meyde!!
This one is good lads

Aide,
surely that theory should be reversed. If you were Gosling and VDM was played ahead of you then you would be screwing...
wtf??? nothing wrong with that
thanks for the links lads
Riley blowing the whistle unnecessary everytime we take a corner, what is that about?
If we start with VDM we automatically pay Milan £230,000, if he comes on as a sub we dont
Riley already showing his true colours!!!
Now, Riley is starting to piss me off again.
Mike Riley is a Twat and a half!
He has blown in 4 times for nothing now!
I agree with you Frank. He is whistle happy.
Pienear unlucky then, Rileys a qunt so we know what to expect.
Playing well at the moment, Boro look like the away side.
RILEY AGAIN FOOKING Bastard
How is that NOT a corner?
beat the front post, please
This is shocking officiating, it really is. This man needs to be put under a performance review immediately. He in now way deserves to be a professional referee in this league. Just shocking.
This is so ridiculous!!!! I can not believe he is allowed to be a ref!
nice move.
Looks like Riley is blowing up after every corner, both sides.
surely there has to be a foul?
DO NOT BOOK HIM< BASTARD
He has blown it AGAIN! 3 times on a corner for nothing!
How is he allowed to referee its a joke
He’s a joke, a bad, racist, sexist, ageist one at that!!
The ref is joke, he is blowing the whistle whenever we are in dangerous position
Good effort by Dan, although I have a feeling the Yak would’ve smashed that in.
Not sure if anyones got barry horne commentating but he seems to agree...
"He’s blowing up at any opportunity he can"
Even the commentators say it, albeit in a more subtle way. "Riley’s inconsistent".
He is probably too old or too stupid to keep up with the pace of the game, so he feels he needs to stop and start the game at every chance he gets to keep up with the flow.
I have a bad feeling that Fellaini will get a red card today.
How Everton haven’t done more with the first half is a mystery to me. This Middlesbrough side is piss-poor.
We should have been in the lead
The silver lining to our injury cloud is that we seem to be playing some decent football. We should be leading and I just hope we don’t get mugged. Shame we are playing against 12 men - bloody Riley is awful and yet nothing will be done.
Anyone else thought that went quick?
I feel we can’t lose this game, i thonk if they keep going then only riley cn beat them.
I think we’re just missing a striker, apart from that we have played really well against 12 men.
Playing well, Gosling promising. Baines and Pienaar looking dangerous every time down the left, always thought they seem to have a good understanding together. Shame about the ref, complete and utter twat
Look guys, im not racist...i just hate belgians of a morrocan nature who have big hair...it reminds me of a girl i once knew who split my dick and shouted snarf at the same time...bad times...ewwwww marrocan belgians!!
REF SHOULD BE STRUNG UP... WHY IS IT EVERON NEVER GET ANYTHING FROM THE REF... ALEX THE OTHER DAY STAMPS ON TIM, FEL JUST GOES FOR BALLS AND IS BOOKED..???
Ahh, now I get it, Mr Riley. The "split-dick" was the telling clue. Were you a leather-bar extra in the Al Pacino film "Cruising" by any chance?
Well i wanted van der Meyde in at the start but Gosling as done really well, he’s come in and look liked he’s been a regular all season, done really well as the lad!! i just hope we get an early goal in the second half and kick on from there because i think if we get one then we’ll go on and get two or three were playing that well but we do need to score as soon as because football as a knack off kicking ya in the bollocks if ya dont take advantage of your dominance!!
Mike Riley was an extra in the film: "Everyone in this film is a fucking incompetent1 twat".
You said it. We urgently need this dominance to bear fruit.
Ah Sean, I remember you!!!
I have a feeling:
A: If we want to win, we need to make an attacking sub before the 60 min mark.
B: If we are going for a draw (or a last min winner) that it wouldn’t be a good idea to make a change.
I think despite everyone playing really well, we need to change things up and go for the win.
I was just wondering where the goal was going to come from!? Get in Tiny!!
Get in!!!! From a move down the left again.
Tim Cahill....Tim Cahill....Tim Cahill!!!
Oh, Gosling, that was shocking! And worthy of Dirk Kuyt.
I like Gosling’s game minus his shots...
Still hate Riley.
Love Tim Cahill.
Gosling looks like a decent young player who is taking his chance pretty well. Fellaini is also starting to flourish in the five man midfield as so many of our players seem to. Just hope Pienaar gets his consistency back soon and we get in a few decent loan signings in January (a la Fernandes from two season?s ago).
Yellow cards are bloody stupid nowadays ? you get them for nothing and you get them for going all WWE! My only worry here, having played well and deserving 3 points so far, is that Riley won?t like us beating him.
FELLAINI is the best player on the pitch by a mile, he is fooking awesome!!!!!
HE IS RUNNING THIS WHOLE GAME!!!
Agreed Anthony ? just hope he can do the same against Arse at home in a few weeks and against the Shite at Anfield!
Also, Gosling has made one of the most solid debuts he could have wished for.
The more of Gosling I?m seeing, the more I?m liking what I see (in a non homosexual way!). Hope he gets the second that we need to ensure we take what we deserve back to Goodison and don?t get done by Riley. It?d cap a really promising debut.
I take it all back, Riley ? excellent decision! Thank God for that!! And quick mention for Arteta who has been excellent so far today in the middle. We need to watch Johnson because, despite his cheating, he looks quality too.
Cannot believe he didn?t give them a penalty there.
Why can’t we kill teams off. We are 100 miles ahead and I still have to be nervous up until the last whistle.
Yeah Gosling played well but if we don’t win it will be down to his misses i’m afraid
Fellini is well poor today. His touch is awful.
How have foreign investors ignored us? Add one real quality holding midfielder, a winger and now a striker (due to injuries) and we could be right up there the way this season is panning out. Please get the cheque book out in Januray BK - don?t waste this chance like we did in the summer!
Gosling is a very tidy player, who has grown in confidence. Let's be fair though, Middlesbrough are absolutely shocking... and they nearly just scored!
Chris, whilst Fellaini hasn?t been perfect he has been good today in my opinion. In fact, they?ve all played well and we deserve to win this. My only criticism now is Gosling?s hair style ? awful!
Funny how there?s 4 minutes injury time today yet there was only 2 the other night when we had a chance of beating a "Big Four" side. Just hope we hang on here for a deserved win. Everything?s crossed.
Well done, Blues. Excellent performance. Deserved 3 points with some decent football throughout. Now let?s go beat Sunderland on Sunday and sort this home record out. A very Merry Christmas.
I guess we want Arsenal to beat Villa or draw? Glad we have finally gone above Hull, that was pissing me off a little.
Howard-7- solid game but rarely troubled and coped well with back passes
Hibbert-7-Played well and is looking a better player every game
Jagielka-9- He truely is a savage defender and man of the match, didnt give the srikers an inch
Lescott-9- He played better center back then left back and was 2nd in my man of the match
Baines-7- Lively down the left and passed it well but his crosses weren’t great. Gave away a few stupid fouls
Arteta-8- Kept the team balanced and showed his experience in the end
Neville-7- Up and down doing all the "donkey work", solid game
Fellaini-7- Improved alot from last week and caused so may problems for Boro
Peinaar-8- His passes were more accurate and the fullback couldnt deal with him at all
Gosling-8- This guy was great for a debut. He looks like an all roundplayer and he tackled very well especially on Aladiere
Cahill-8- He was our main goal threat and he always does the business in these games
Overall-Very pleased, typival Moyes performance and we were very good, Howver we could have won by 3 or 4
That was a superb performance. Did we make a mistake? With a sharp striker on the pitch it was 4-0 result.
It was great, Sean... until we got near their penalty area. And for me that was then totally frustrating. It can only be because Moyes spends so long drilling them in defence that the basics of attacking football ? and crucially closing the deal by banging the fucking ball into the opposition net ? are so foreign to them. Watching Everton, even when they play well, is still 85% frustration, sad to say.
And don?t come out with the "no strikers" excuse. I mean what the fuck was Lescott doing with his gold-plated opportunity??? Kicking the ball backwards!!! Maddening. The quality in the penalty area is just so, so poor. Alves showed us just how close we came to throwing two more points away.
Great performance, could’nt fault any of ’em today and like Tom says could easily have won by 3 or 4, yeah Boro were poor but we made ’em look poor due to are performance today! and in all honesty if we could take are away form into are home games then we’d be in with a right shout for the top four!! COYB!!!!
The quality in the final third is poor because we don’t have any strikers, it’s as simple as really. You can’t blame easy misses on Moyes not coaching the basics in attacking football.
To play as a striker you need intelligence both tactically and individually. Cahill and Fellaini are stop gaps, they are going to struggle when it comes to playing in a foreign position.
With Yakubu or Saha in there it would’ve been 3 or 4-0. It’s as simple as that really, we aren’t scoring because we don’t have any fire power.
Some great play though, we controlled the majority of the game which was pleasing to see. Pienaar, Baines and Arteta played some great stuff down that left hand side.
Keep it up Blues.
Is that the first time we?ve ever beaten Mike Riley? All I can ever remember from when he?s reffed us is throwing a lot of stuff at the tv.
Was out all day so couldn’t watch the game, how would you rate our performance? Also how did Gosling do?
Gosling was fantastic, looking Premier League ready and very assured. Umm, except when he was given two really easy chances to score. But that?s the Everton way, isn?t it?
Yup sounds familiar, good to see a youngster coming good. Also I?m glad Cahill's been able to step up to the frame in attack.
BBC’s MOTM was Ross Turnbull. WTF? With an assist to Riley, I presume.
Well if we played as well as the above comments say it’s probbly going by the fact that he contained us to 1 goal?
Great, great win.
Awesome team spirit, solid defending, good passing and we were only a striker away from winning 3 or 4 nil.
Some people on really want to criticise Everton at the moment but we won playing good football. Now we get coments like ?why didn?t we win 3 or 4 nil?? or ?Why haven?t we sen Gosling before??. Chaps, NONE of us are footie managers and none of us are privy to behind the scenes suff. All we can really ask is we play well and win and that?s what we?re doing at the moment.
Largely with only 11 fit first teamers.
Well, I didn’t think it would happen after the dreadful summer, and The Moyes Sulk at the start of the season - but it really does feel like ’business as usual’ again. Very hard to beat, clean sheets, playing as a team with great spirit, and nicking the wins. You’ve got to hand it to a side that is now up to sixth with no recognised strikers. Merry Christmas all!
Robert: You could have yer pick from those in Blue shirts as to who was MOTM. Turnbull didn?t exactly make any saves. Gosling missed two sitters (ok, he saved one of those), Peanut hit the post and Lescott decided to play the ball away to safety rather than score when unmarked from three yards.
In the first half we had a succession of corners and free kicks that virtually all resulted in OMR blowing the whistle for non-existent fouls on Turnbull. When we wisely decided to stand well off the keeper on a corner, he stayed rooted, trembling on the line as the ball bobbed into the six yard box and fell eventually at Cahill?s feet, 1-0. The great Petr Cech would have caught that corner with two broken arms.

I?m reminded of the Bernard Manning gag. "Ray Gosling, can you hear me?" "Yes, I can hear you". "It?s about our roof" " Yes". "We want one". Now if we had that Jimmy Greaves in the attack...
Ma Riley was shit in the first period. He must have watched the tape in the halftime so he decided to be fair in the second. I was surprised but pleased.
A good performance from the lads, they never gave up. This is the attitude i want from our team. It is not yet the school of science stuff but occasionally very near.
By the way, Gosling played very well. They must be doing something right at the academy/reserves because so many like him youngsters like him are coming through (like Rodwell and Baxter). Still, he didn't score when Jose would have done from those open chances. I just hope Jose is not going to join the dark side.
