A Tall Tale?

Comments (15)

I know these stories without source always bomb out here on ToffeeWeb but thought I'd tell it anyway as it was of a slight interest to me. A mate of mine, all be it a Spurs fan, but very knowledgable nonetheless was over in Spain last week and happened to be staying in a mates flat next door to Bill Kenwright´s brother.

Unfortunately he did not ask him anything about Destination Kirkby but he did get a few questions in about Moyes and BK and the squad. As we all know already, he told my mate that Moyes and BK are best buddies, he added that Arteta looks like he could be on his way to Athletico as Moyes is fuming after Arteta was on a flight over to Spain during the Arsenal game last season, apparently Moyes is ready to let him go because he is happy with Pienaar and is confindent that Fernandes will return this summer. He furthermore added that AJ wants to leave and Moyes would be happy to see the back of him.

Finally they spoke about Carsley leaving, apparently Moyes told BK that he believes Neville is as good at the holding role.... I know, I know!! And that Jags may well be groomed into central midfield!! This is because Moyes is terrified that Lescott will ask for a move if he doesn´t play at centre back rather than left back. Not exactly exciting stuff I know but interesting to get a bit of inside into how Moyes sees the current playing staff. He finished by telling him that Hibbo would be his first choice right back. Here's to a long and interesting season ahead!

Certainly not if that is true...which I doubt very very much.

There was some talk on a different topic on TW that there might be a prize for the first person to respond with the word "bollocks". So just in case...

Bollocks!

Much of it is quite feasable, but I can’t believe for one second that anyone would be mates with a Spurs fan!

Hi,

My first post yippi.

Dont slang me off but I live two doors down from the brother of Tony Hibbert and he tells me with great honesty that Felipe Caicedo and Seydou Keita have been seen in the Finch Farm car park shaking hands on a three year deal. When Hibbert saw it he asked Moyes but was told to keep quiet.

Honestly its a true story, you just wait.

Ahem... "Rachel", is this the same Tony Hibbert who said in an interview on the Official Site only this week that he and the players have no idea who?s signing until they show up for training after the deal has been done? Better luck next time, Mr Harr... I mean, "Rachel".

On the off chance that there may also be a prize for the first person to reply "bollocks" to the post by "Rachel"...

Bollocks!

Rachel,

I spoke to Tony Hibbett during the last close season. They had just come back from a training camp abroad.

Me " High Tony, Sorry to bother you but you don’t know if Fernandes is coming back do you?"

Tony " No, I think they were asking a bit too much for him I’m afraid".

He joined pre-season training two days later before bogging off to Valencia.

The players know nothing.

Neville in the holding role, jags in midfield, and arteta buggering off...

that has to be the most depressing 3 bits of speculation i’ve heard in a long while.

My mates mam was cleaning the bogs at Finch Farm and there was someone in the cubicle next to her taking a dump. When she heard this person straining to force out a log she said it was definately in a Portuguese accent. She said she couldn’t be certain but thought it was Fernandes.

Also whilst trying to remove a crusty skid from one of the pans she noticed that AJ hadn’t been in for his usual 11am shit. I guess this backs up Ben’s comments of him leaving. You heard it here 1st.

Tut! - you just don’t know WHAT to believe!

I mean I’m not calling Andy Hudson a liar, but according to the official site..

AJ says "I have not missed an 11am shit at Finch Farm and have no intention of doing so. I am totally committed to having a shit at Finch Farm at 11.am everyday"

The striker added "I don’t know where these stories about me wanting a shit in the bogs at West Ham’s training ground are coming from, but they’re simply not true. I am very happy having an 11am shit here".

He also squashed the rumour that he wanted a move, as his wife could not shite in the area.

"My family are settled and enjoy performing their various shit-house functions here"

"Neville is as good at the holding role".

The only holding role I’d give Phil Neville is holding the tray of half-time oranges..........
