Footy Match News Shocker!

Comments (21)

To relieve the boredom of the early July 'phoney war' (DK / non-signings/ Osman go-karting/ VDM turning up for training) I felt the urge to share some actual EFC match news (of sorts).

The Aug 9 Goodison pre-season kickabout v PSV will be televised live -on Setanta Sports - see http://www.setanta.com/preseason/ I hope, by then, the cash has arrived to persuade Mr Moyes to sign his new contract.

At present, I'm genuinely worried that he could 'up sticks' out of sheer frustration (looks like there's a lucrative assistant manager's job available at Old Trafford within days)..

Mind you, the idea of a senior figure from EFC moving to Man Utd in August after a summer European Championships is sheer fantasy. Hang on... .

I think this has to be my last post before the season starts!!!!!! It seems most of our competitors seem to be signing players, and just having been on the official website, for what its worth, we have an interview with Lee Carsley, who I think now plays for Birmingham, and Andy Van der Twat is training again.... how much more miserable does this have to get?

So Utd are going to sell Rooney (who said he would never play for moyes again ) to get Moyes in as assistant to Fergie ??

And Moyes is going to give up being boss at Everton to be 2nd best at UTD ??

I am worried about the lack of action from Everton on the transfer side i allways think you have to get players before the Euro’s but ill wait and see.

As miserable as you want it to be Brucey ma boy, or you could just impatient with a smile on your face, let me see if I can help.

Man goes to see the nurse for a check up, after a while the nurse says,
nurse; "I think you should stop wanking"
man; "Why nurse?"
nurse; "because i’m trying to examine you!"

Ha.

Moyes has just brought in an assistant he has been chasing for months and we have sorted a financial package to bring him here. Do you think Round (a well respected coach) would seriously have taken the job with Moyes if he knew Moyesie was off to United? Everton will wait for the stadium decision or a high profile signing to gain maximum positive pr. I think that if the stadium is announced on the same day as Moyesie’s contract renewal that it would divert from the DK issue.

The board wouldnt even consider taking Round on to be number 2 if Moyes was gonna do a runner (although, Round does have his Uefa Pro licence so he could be lined up as a cheap replacement)! There is no point worrying now. Everton are a club that remain so tight lipped and keep everything in house, so all the media can do is make stuff up about us! Also, I dont think Moyes could be anyones number 2!

Anything is possible and I personally wouldn?t blame Moyes for jibbin? us for that lot.

Managers come and go don?t they; Moyes won?t be with us for ever.....

Having said that, I wouldn?t be too pleased if he left us in the current predicament we find ourselves in..........

Round a well respected coach?
Let?s look at his credentials.
Boro? World beaters they are (not).
Derby???
England? Ha Ha Ha.
Bar codes? Enough said already. Not exactly awe inspiring is it. Let?s face it they all play shite footy.

Reading the posts from the doom mongers on this site is depressing, especially with regards to new signings. Fuck sake give it time. The window has been open for 4 days now. The exact same happened last season. We signed the Yak a couple of games into the season so late arrivals (and good ones at that) are highly possible.

I am personally taking a four week break as of now from all Everton sites. I bet when I come back I?ll be thrilled at the 4 or 5 signings we?ve brought in.

ANDY VAN DER MEYDE!!!!!!!!!!
Does anyone think he will be given one more chance at Everton?
Can he get his form back that caught the eye of europe when in Holland & Italy??
Throwing a spanner in the works does anyone think he can be effective playing just behind the forwards ???

Terry Smith:
A resounding no to all questions. The guy is an idiot. He doesn’t react well to not playing. Some people knuckle down and work hard for their place. He just goes to the Albert Docks and gets rat assed

Apparently we have had to cancel the friendly with Bury on the 12th because we don't have a big enough squad to cope... as we also play Sion on that day. Ouch.
