Having grown bored witless by the official site, I stumbled across ToffeeWeb more by luck than judgement. Yet what luck!
No bland, sanitised for the masses, politically correct articles here. Oh no, this is much, much more visceral than that. These are articles, letters, cries from the heart etc from real Everton fans. People who passionately care about the club.
At times I've laughed at the legendary scouse wit, almost cried at the depth of sentiment expressed, and felt the intense heat of debate. So why am I saying "thank you" ? Well, I guess you could call me half scouse. My Mum's side were blues from Bootle. My dad although from Shropshire was also fortunately a blue.
At the age of 11 (1974) I saw my first home game versus Arsenal and marvelled at Dobson's silky passing skills. The visits to see relatives and go to Goodison were the happiest days of my childhood. The sheer adrenaline rush of matchday was magical to me. Sadly, my parents are gone now. I'm a 45-year-old man who lives in Shropshire but is still fanatical about his beloved Everton.
Everton fans are like any family. We may laugh together, cry together and at tmes argue and yet the bond between us will withstand anything. I care so deeply about this club and through ToffeeWeb I have been reminded that many, many others do too. Thank you.

You're very welcome, Mike. It's for fans like you that we provide this facility. We do laugh and cry, argue and tear out our hair.... but at the end of the day we are all Evertonians. Born, not manufactured.
Well said Mike, So nice to hear some positive things... I can not tell you how much I'm looking forward to the new season.... Seeing the picutres of some of the lads training today has put a huge smile on my face. Roll on 19th July for the Cambridge game...
From the heart Mick from the heart, thats were most of our feelings come from, yeah it;s a long love affair, we fall out with the old dear occasionaly, but we always make it up.
Positivity! Finally! Welcome to Toffeeweb Mike.(presuming this is your first post)
It's a cracking site, Mike, if I do not always agree with whats said, but that's what it's all about ? expressing your opinions on our beloved Everton!!!!!! Well said Michael Kenrick, I like the "born not manufactured" statement.
Really good to read of Mike Evans feelings re ?the Blues?. Guess we all feel the same, some with considered opinions, others maybe younger supporters, with a vehemence that simply draws a big broad line under their attachment.
We will argue with each other, particularly on matters like Kirkby but the undoubted facts are, such arguments simply confirm how each contributor loves his chosen club and wants the very best for it.
Nice one Mike, brought a lump to my throat. The same lump that always appears every time I gaze upon the hallowed turf of Goodison Park at every match. No matter how many times I?ve been there I still get that real emotional feeling. I guess thats what comes with supporting the greatest team in the world ... Everton FC
Like I always say We are the luckiest people alive... imagine having to support LFC ... lol
A mate of mine,a Man u season ticket holder, was having a look over my shoulder while I was on this site. Now this is a guy who could name every team in the Peruvian second division.Well,he declared ^what a fucking strange site* It made me even prouder to be an Evertonian.Best club, best website!
