Transfer twitterings and transfer twits

Comments (9)

When will Benitez and Ferguson learn? The hypocrisy of the pair will not be a surprise to anyone except perhaps their most devoted fans, but especially in Sir Alex?s case having reported Real Madrid over the very public Ronaldo transfer saga, you?d think he might have the intelligence to see that making comments about Berbatov soon leaving Spurs would rankle Tottenham and the football world in general.

And we all know that Benitez is on another planet when it comes to transfers, valuing players in what can only be described as an optimistic outlook and talking about other clubs players ceaselessly, whilst acting furious if anyone else mentions his prized players with a switch away. So well done to Spurs for reporting both Liverpool and Man U to the Premier League for tapping up their players, although as we have seen in the past, its one rule for the Sky4 and another for the rest of us.

And despite the agonising wait for Everton to announce some signings, to give a hint as to who we are interested in and what funds are available, I for one am happier that we conduct ourselves correctly, only confirming interest when we have had a bid accepted by the player?s club. It might be frustrating, but ultimately we can applaud Moyes?s conduct whilst the pair of twits above no doubt continue in their devious transfer tactics.

It’s a hopeless gesture from Spurs though, as Benitez and Ferguson might get handed a small fine, but it won’t stop them from signing the players that they’re after.

How many times have both of these obnoxious characters done just this and got away with it ? Manuel (the waiter) is at it all the time just recently Barry & Keane he did it with Maschereno, he tried it on with the wrong ones over Heinze and they got awrap over the knuckles when they stole that crap full back from Middlesboro not to even mention Barmby. Its a pretty good bet that once more both clubs ??? (financial organisations) will get away with it yet again.

Makes you wonder which is better.

Ferguson started all this years ago when he sent people round tapping up all the best youth players in the country.

He’s never been censored yet.

WTF has all this to do with Everton?
All you can say is if Fergie wants an Everton player he gets him ? and then dumps his dross on us in return!

What absolute rubbish, Nevil Spilsbury. He paid us £30M for Rooney and Howard has been an absolute steal from him. Added to that, Phil Neville is our best captain since Kevin Ratcliffe. Wish we could get him to part with a few more like him!

The integrity of Everton (playing and coaching staff) is one of the joys of following the blues.
Top 4 supporters don’t realise how petty and rediculous they can be in defending the egos and media mind games of their teams

Forget about Spurs challenging us this year, when these two mercenary, money-grabbing bastards move, they will be lucky to finish in the top ten.

I look at he likes of Mikel Arteta, who could have clearly left for a Spanish club, and realise he is one of the few loyal players about. It makes me sick that club captains (Barry & Keane) will go running to play for a team who have no chance of winning the Premier League. Agents need to more tightly regulated as the current system stinks to high heaven. As soon as they can instigate a high profile move, agents can literally make millions. They are the scourge of the modern game. For the moment, it seems we have one of the most loyal squads in the Prem. We must be doing something right!

Everton, need to be very vocal in their support of Tottenham in this. As does every other club in the country. It is only a matter of time before one of the big 4 try to tap up one of our lads. The football league need to be forced into a corner in order to stop this behaviour once and for all. The big clubs have been allowed to get away with it far too long.

The only way things like this will be stopped is if pressure comes from every club, not just the clubs that are losing players at that particular time.

Andrew

So Everton are whiter than white?
Tell that to Gareth Southgate,

We did it to Boro, Spurs did it to Palace, Man Udid it to both us and Spurs, Real Madrid will hopefully do it to Man U, RS will do it to Villa, but live in constant fear that Chelsea might do it to them...
Chelsea can do it to anyone, but that doesn't stop Milan doing it to them.

The waters of the transfer market have always been very very murky, why have people suddenly become outraged and surprised?
