Where is Manny?

Anybody who, like me, thinks we should sign the potentially high class Manny Fernandes (unless his price is outrageously high) might be interested in seeing him in pre-season training with Valencia. Interestingly, he does not appear to be listed in their squad. Google VALENCIA CF, click on VALENCIA CLUB DE FUTBOL- WEB OFICIAL, then on OFFICIAL WEBSITE and then on PRESEASON 08-09 (right hand side). Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on PINCHA AQUI............, then click on the various sections, each of which has a date. Then again, you might think 'What a waste of time!'

Apparently we are after Moutinho now, but if I had a choice between him and Fernandes I’d have Fernandes hands down, that Moutinho is another midget and we need more physical presence in the middle. If we could get Manny and a good strong defensive centre mid I’d be happy. Hopefully Moyes could bring someone decent in on loan too to add more depth and quality to the squad. You never know though if these rumours are true there’s been far too many this summer, considering we’ve signed none so far. I’m still waiting on this 48 hour press conference I’ve been told about which will make everything ok again!

Yeah I forgot that Mannys 6ft 6 and 15 stone isn?t he Ant, I like Manny but he ain?t much taller than Moutinho...

@ Rob Jones.........Manny Fernandes may not be 6? 06 but he is 6? 00. Moutinho on the other hand is 5? 07 but I get your point. I guess its one or t?other plus a wardrobe to sit in the middle. Would be interesting to have both though. Two young promising Portuguese international midfielders who would potentially have bigger re-sale values. They are perhaps the players we should be aiming for rather than the likes of Fletcher!!!!
