This season is all about making cash

Comments (8)

This coming Premier League season is set up to be the most predictable ever.

The Top 4 will be the same as last year and all the newly promoted teams will be heading straight back down ( the weakest set of newly promoted teams ever)

The owners of all the teams in the middle know this and so this season will be all about making as much cash as possible — which explains the low transfer activity — a situation which suits us more so at Everton with the new ground and existing loans to finance.

I really hope I am wrong but we (and all the other mid table clubs) seem to be setting ourselves up for the most predictable and boring Premier League season ever.

Thanks for the tip off.

That must be why Stojkovic fucked off home.

Just a thought,
If we all knocked Sky out of our direct debit mandates, (me included) and relied upon Everton tv/ BBC, how might this affect Premier League salaries? More to the point, who would get hit hardest? I would like to think the RS first! Well, it makes a change from DK etc.

Simon that is a great idea, as I have just done the same and will look forward to everton tv this season, unlike Sky/Setanta and their top 4 Sunderland (re Setanta) obsession.

Wouldn?t care less if this Premier League season is the best or worst ever, I long came disenfranchised with football some years ago. I used to care who won the league, get excited over FA giant killings, World and European cups etc, but it's all just a nothing now (still watch though haha).

So football for me is all about Everton. I could just about name Man U?s starting XI but anyone else but us... no chance. So for me, this season is about taking 4th, and could possibly be done. People will have their eye on Torres and will figure out how to play him. Riise has gone from the left which is a huge blow, and the signings brought by Rafa so far are hardly special... its up for grabs ? supposing we don't go backwards that is.

Jamie,
I foolishly subscribed to Setanta this time last year when we played Werder Bremen. Was able to watch about 5 minutes before it all went pear shaped. Tried to cancel several times over the phone/online before finally cancelling via hsbc online. This pissed them off bigtime and they tryed to bully me into further payments until I reminded them as an Evertonian I would no longer subscribe to a RS fans site!

Nick?s got the way a lot of fans feel just about right- other clubs the same. My mate once said to me "I no longer consider myself a football supporter but I will always be a Sunderland fan" Sky and the Champions League are killing it slowly. I no longer watch England and the only other team I give a monkey?s for is Marine. Oh and whoever is playing the shite.

Does Evertontv do every Everton match? If so I’ll definitely get it.
