No info on subs... The games "has come soon for Pienaar"? WTF? Don't they mean "Pienaar's fitness level is not high enough for today's game"? Saying it that way just sounds like the game has come as something of a surpise yet everyone knew it was being played today.
Altright, it's just another one of those stupid footy cliches that drive me mad... it's been a long hard summer... I'm losing it!!!

Interesting to see Baines has made the subs bench, I wonder if he’s fit enough to get a few minutes of match time tonight?
Assuming he is injured!
Unsually I didn't know any going tonight.
Anything of note happened in the game yet? Any decent shots/saves? Was VdM seriously injured?
Christ Jimmy Martin (the kit man) will be getting a game soon.
Molyneux for Arteta
Just then we had a triple hit on goal.
Ball lobbed in from the left into penalty box.
Kieran had a difficult one to handle, but managed to flick it in on goal, then it came out again, Gosling point blank but a great block stops it.. Then a third from another player running in, I think Rodwell, and stopped again.
Damn close!
Van Der Meyde was down early, unfortunate injury.. Annoying as was looking forward to him playing (as strange as it sounds)
Arteta had a clumsy challenge from Hughes, just on the right side touch line. He did not look good, limped for ages.. Painful expression on his face.
But the he took a set kick 5 minutes later.
Went off for treatment and stayed off.
Half time. 0-0
I’m Melbourne, Australia :)
Ok, Andy Cole is off, Sinclair on.
Restarted second half.
Came in from the right after a ball bounced through the defence, player struck at goal, but he missed to the left where another incoming Notts attacker slid and barely missed connecting with it.
Goal kick.
Moreso for the fact of us winning but I only drink every goal and my beer is getting warm (Heheh)..
Commentry guys answering an email in.
Asking who?s domintating the music in the changerooms I believe.
Leon says its the Yak. He?s just come back and taken over..
lol.
Not much happening in the game, Notts have it up front.
Goal kick.
Baxter was running his little legs off.
Back up to Notts end.
A nice cross in from the left, curled in towards the far post.
Earnshaw struck his leg out but couldn?t connect.
Very VERY close.
Everton closing them down.
Gosling made a damn late challenge on Hughes who doesn?t look good.
Play held up at the moment as tending to Hughes.
Nuno Valente unfortunately intercepting a cross just outside the penalty box from the right side for Nott?.
Goal for Notts, own goal from Nuno.
Bad luck Valente :(
Maybe we?ll fire up now!!
Not feeling that confident of where the playmaking is coming from!
I’m sure Yak will come on in final 20 to win the game ;)
But Baxter backed it up with a fine cross.
Lescott couldn’t head it down, over the bar.
Baxter taking it.. Great ball, fisted away by keeper.
He’ll give Fernandes a run for his money if Manny returns :)
Baines warming up.
But no result, to the right.
BAXTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ran in from right to centre, around a man, and just before penalty box, curled it in around the keeper.
GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow he looks awesome :)
Dribbled it down on right, switched before he struck with the left..
Goal!
Finally got to open me (was cold) warm beer.. lol
He really does look like a good prospect for the future!
Yakubu and PIENAAR warming up.
I thought Peanutts was not ready til America?
This game is going to step up even more!
Nice ball into box, just couldnt get foot on it Lukas.
Keepers ball.
They have shown some close in shots with seats packed with Toffees :)
Missing Andy VDM (can?t believe I?m saying that still!)
I still hold hope for him.
Be so sad to see AJ go :(
Jags cleared.
Still a lot of midfield possession.
Another cross in from further down field on left, Turner has it..
Ball moved up forward quickly by Everton, cleared by Notts keeper.
Pienaar now coming on for Lukas.
Missed who Yakubu replaced..
Baxter?
Nott’ took advantage of Everton distraction, Earnshaw ran down but Everton players hassled him enough, nothing came of it.
Earnshaw somehow got onto it in penalty box on left side, flicked it around Everton player, just landed on top netting..
Damn looked good.. Fortunate for Everton!
Everton aren?t really doing anything creative at moment, just lobs or long goal kicks that are leading to more possession for the opposition than us.
Yak gets a touch, squares the ball, but to no Everton players.
ANOTHER run by Notts up forward.
Run right down the left side, into penalty box, and crossed just before going out, Everton clears.
Back up forward for Notts, ineffective.
Everton goal kick.
Commentators already preparing to sign off.
Ball still just messing around midfield.
Left field, crossed into penalty box, headed out by Everton.
Corner comes in, Everton get it out, Yakubu in penalty box (WRONG box)
Gosling passes to Baxter further UP OUR END..
Baxter made an attacking move, approaching our penalty box, but his final kick is too far off (way too far off)
Ineffective kick in, but finds no one.
Baxter off. Irving on.
Crossed in, Nott? player down, no foul, no goal.
Ball up forward again for Everton BUT can?t keep possession.
2 minutes added time.
Looking for options.
Gosling gives him one.
Gosling JUST couldn’t get on it as he gets in the penalty box..
LOOKED a certain goal, but just couldn’t find space.
Ball cleared out.
END of GAME.
1-1
Great goal by Baxter but other than that, a bit of a damp squib.
Great but we need to score more.
Spesh since a team like Cambridge can score 4 on us!
Since Andy has been the centre (well, left) of most of our attacking of late.
What time is the kick off in the UK?
Last year Basil Rathbone said that van der man injured himself simply by kicking a ball.
If that really was the case I guess there is not much hope for him.
Good game, we were by far the better side before the own goal. They put in a few very hard challenges, one of which ended Arteta?s interest. Shame to see AvdM go off injured. I think that sums him up now as he?ll be out for at least a few weeks with a hamstring injury that i feel kills off any chance of him having any sort of impact.
Excellent finish from Baxter. Rodwell looks calm and composed and I thought Gosling was very lively. Overall I think a good performance from a very inexperienced midfield and attack.
Must be injured................

I haven't been too bothered by the lack of signings until now but it is starting to piss me off.
Every year the same - we must be the most ill-informed fans in the Prem yet we do nothing about it.
GRRRR
The most annoying thing was the fact that they didn?t have squad numbers on or names on the back, and the tannoy was worse than Lime Street - not so bad when the first team?s out but a bit confusing with all the youngsters.
All in all, a good display by the youngsters, they should be ready in a couple of years; unfortunately the season starts in 3 weeks.
Not spotted a sports bar yet but must be somewhere in the city that Evertonians meet to watch games?!
Also Baines only came on for the last 20 minutes. Does Moyes have a problem with him? Valente looks painfully slow and I would have thought whilst Yobo’s not playing why not have a proper look at a back 4 of Nev, Jags, Roger and Baines?
Where was Osman last night? Is he being sold too?

I disagree regarding the quality of a few of the players on show yesterday. I thought Rodwell and Baxter were both excellent.
Rodwell is only young, but he really impressed me with how composed he is on the ball and his distribution with it. Far, far better than either Carsley or Neville. He looks 6ft+ too. The only question is can Moyes develop his positional sense and awareness of danger which Carsley seemed to have.
Baxter too was impressive. His goal was sublime and his dead ball delivery was superior to anyone else in the team.
Ideally we wouldn?t have to play these youngsters in PL games and could perhaps loan them out to gain their experience, but if we do have to play them I think although they?re not of the quality we would all want, they?re still both capable.
My main concern is up front. With Johnson on his way, our only fit Premier League quality striker is the Yak. Neither Jutkiewicz or Agard look to be Premier League quality. I think the jury is still out on Anichebe and Vaughan is injury prone.
As regards the first team players, I believe Ossie was still recovering from an injury (he was commentating on evertontv) and Baines has just got back from injury, so Moyes was obviously not going to give him 90 mins straight off.
Haven?t really found that many places in Melbourne.
Charles Dickens off Collins Street sometimes with mates. That is 24-hour that place (I believe)
And Turf Bar apparently we?re heading to in August for some games.
Mainly watched games at home on Fox with mates, but plan on doing more roadtrips into the city to watch more this year :)
Used to watch a lot at Bridie Orielley's but too many late games and it closes too early.
Will communicate closer to the time :)
Do you guys go to the Victory games too?
