Can we believe a word Kenwright says?

Comments (9)

Year after year it's the same, Kenwright comes out with the same bull. How long does it take to complete a transfer if you have money? I would bet my house by the time the first game comes along, we will have signed not one Player of note that is going to push us on. Why does he delude the fans by confirming that we have made bids for certain players when he knows that there isn't a chance in hell of them coming.

He has the backing of the majority of fans as he seems to be a genuine true Blue but my patience has finally snapped. It wouldn?t surprise me if Moyes resigns before the start of the season as he being fed the same bull about money being available for transfers. How do you expect to sign the likes of Moutinho when you offer a pittance up front. We haven?t a pot to piss in and Moyes deep down knows this.

The club looks like a joke with the likes of Villa, Portsmouth and Spurs buying quality players that we should be going if we do have the money. The rumours are already flying around that Aresnal are sniffing around Moutinho and it wouldn?t surprise me in the least if he ends there. I think if we don?t get investment from somewhere soon, we are just going to fall further behind the Sky four year after year.

Brian, Bill has been trying to get investment into the club since he took over and to date has brought in nothing so I can't see that changing. Until our club changes ownership, we will have this farce every year, only worse, as it gets harder each year to borrow the required money ? added to the fact we have sold every thing we can (I know we still own Bellefield but we have tried very hard to get rid). We will never really threaten the top and If Moyes goes who could in all honesty blame him?

Roy, Getting investment in is one thing, i.e. no reliquishing his controlling stake, but increasing it?s value rather than selling the club to a buyer who would probably want more than bills percentage of owenership.

it?s not just Bill, it's the other shareholders who need to fuck off too. They are all holding the club back.

Bill must have worked himself to a standstill trying to get investment 24/7!! Give our man a break, so that he can take a proper holiday. :0) Who needs new players when we have a tactical genius manager!

He even said that AJ will be gone by today.
No news on that too...

Bill Kenwright, whom I still believe is a sincere Evertonian, has based the future of the club and any investment solely on Kirby. Bill, time to work on plan B.

Well, DK has been called in as expected. As a "Yes" voter, I have VERY mixed feelings. I have posted on this website before expressing some exasperation with the anti EFC Board vitriol concerning the subject. I really still believe that, viewed from any objective economic stance (OK, I know there are opposing views) the Kirkby proposal, even with a borrowing requirement over the original projections, is a "no brainer". If we get a £50mil subsidy in any (OK, "most")circumstances, it still represents an extremely good deal, and would certainly facilitate a future Buy Out.

My HEART, like probably all "Yes" voters, still wished for a solution that let us either stay at Goodison, or in Liverpool City. There is NOTHING viable on the table. Please God we can survive on BK?s powers of persuation to get the Bank(s) to lend us even more money so we can survive the next few years while some VIABLE "Plan B" emerges. AND I DO MEAN "survive".

Please God we DON?T get the alternative that some Russian / Indian / American Asset Stripper con their way in past BK?s defences, or the likes of many of the conributers on this site put so much pressure on BK that he gives up without a fight. All in All, we are in very dangerous times.

Well you have to say that no one has stepped forward and made it public that they want to buy Everton, so it?s reasonable to assume that so far no one has!

New players..... I know we need more, but this team took us to 5th, ok so look at the transfers in and out and it may surprise us to see that many teams have a net loss of players.... Look for yourselves, Blackburn haven?t bought much... sold their best player and bought a goalie and a Chilean nobody (at least he?s a nobody now). So yeah I want signings but we still have a really good team, albeit thin.... However my guess is that we will add to this really good squad before the transfer window closes... Anyone know where Tottenham get their money from?.... no real money, success for a long time.

Well some folk on here have got the news that that they were wishing for with Kirkby getting called in- i myself see it as a potential disaster, a delay at the worst possible time... so much for onwards and upwards.. I concur with Andy.

John Sreet, Spurs get their money from off the pitch activities; they have people that know their arse from their elbow that can find their arse without a map that can sell themselves, marketing, corporate tie ins and merchandising ask anyone at Everton what they are and expect to here a church bell toll and watch tumbleweed rolling past as they sit open mouthed drooling at you.
