Kenwright...or Wrong?

Sorry, Bill, sometimes a person can't do right

You took charge of Everton at a very low point in its history, fighting relegation and the previous owner forced out. You brought stability to a club, you brought in a new young manager which was a risk. You stood by him through tough times and watched him reshape our squad. We have seen the average age of a squad come down, skilful players wearing the blue shirt, finishing in the top 6 on a regular basis...all this on a shoestring budget.

We have little money but we have what most other teams would die for: passion, loyalty, togetherness and a sense of pride in our club. We have become a yardstick for most other premier clubs, they don't know how we do it. I'll tell you how we do it. We have a chairman who is true blue, who only wants what's best for our club and have mortgaged his life to give the manager a chance to compete.

He's taken flack from many areas without complaint and allowed a manager to manage. I write this because he won't be in charge soon and some people will get what they want. A sugar daddy to take us to the next level... or will they?

A well written piece Phil, one of which I totally agree with what you?ve said but unfortunately we live in a era when money talks particularly the Premier League and that is the one item Bill has never managed to acquire.
Moyes knows this and to satisfy his burning ambition to take this club forward we need lots of it.

Whether we?ll enjoy the ride if Bill moves and we are taken over by Megabuck man we will only find out a year or so after it happens.

Phil, you forgot to add to your sentimental tripe, that in his time here, he as lied through his fucking teeth numerous times. You know what they are, so I won?t give you the long list.

A EPL chairman without money is no use to anyone. BK's only answer to this was to scurry out the back door like a shithouse rat to Kirkby. Well that's now fucked and I am made up. If that's all the lying prick could offer us after the promise of the Kings Dock stadium then good riddance to him as well.<

Wyness knew last week that Kirkby was fooked and that's why he left. No Bully Bonus you see. The pair of em make me sick and the sooner we see the back of the Kenwright Dynasty the better.>

Brian Waring - lied about what exactly? You won’t give a long list because you can’t as there is no list. He has always been honest, always done his best for this club, and I think any blue that isn’t extremely grateful for all he’s done for us has a very short memory.

Phil
dont make me laugh.

"who only wants what?s best for our club and have mortgaged his life to give the manager a chance to compete."

In that case let me ask you 2 questions.

1.Why didn't he give some of his shareholding to Paul Greeg in exchange for the £30 million Guarantee for Kings Dock.

2. Why didn't he sell out to Gregg (a much richer and financially able man) instead of wheeling out Fortress Sports fund ("the cheque will be in the bank in the morning") and ridiculed Gregg through the media to retain his control of EFC.
Needless to say the £15 million that BK promised from Fortress is still being awaited.

Why does he say he has been searching for investment 24/7 while the Tesco application clearly states "The Everton directors have no intention of diluting their shareholding".

And there we have Brian.....
Probably another member of the "county road posse". I have analysed your dazzling comment and must commend you on your impartiality. I suppose you warm for the Johson days and the average age of the squad over 30 and fighting relegation! Gives you and your buddies plenty to talk about after the game. We could be Premier League Champions and you?d still be moaning about something..... NEXT!

And Tony Marsh you?re just a joke. You?re right, he hasn?t got any money - that?s why we need a new stadium to begin to compete. Kenwright was trying to do this on limited resources. And you seem to take delight in it failing?

What exactly would make you happy?

Ted you have to be joking or have the memory of a goldfish.

looking for investment 24/7 - then read the planning application

Rooney is worth $50m

The Fortress Fund money will be in the bank in the morning - best way to describe it as he changed that story on a daily basis

NTL Deal

Mythical Russian Billionaire(s) ready to invest

The King’s Dock £30m is ringfenced

After Rooney’s sale we will definitely sign players in the next few days

and those are just for starters, enough for anyone willing to see past the "he’s one of us" overused and abused shield and his annual bullshitisms, his time has come - Kenshite out

Well, well Gavin, nice to see you?ve crawled from under your rock that you share with Tony Marsh!!
I hope you are celebrating while you can. As I bet you?ll disappear just as quickly when we get relegated or wound up in the high court.
Will all you idiots in KEIOC ETC, SHOW US THE COLOUR OF YOUR MONEY!!
As nobody will invest in us now.

Gavin - utter load of rubbish. You’re acting like a spoit brat.

Looking for investment 24/7 - he can’t force someone to invest, we’re not that attractive an option when the first thing an investor will have to do is build a stadium.

Rooney is worth $50m - i’m not sure why we’re dealing in dollars but we got £30m for him.Once he handed in a transfer request the only thing Kenwright could possibly do is get as much as possible for him.

The Fortress Fund money will be in the bank in the morning - He was lied to, desperately trying to find investment.

NTL Deal - nothing, absolutely nothing to do with Kenwright

Mythical Russian Billionaire(s) ready to invest - I personally have never heard Kenwright talking about a mythical Russian investor, and neither have you.

After Rooney?s sale we will definitely sign players in the next few days

He never ever said that - Rooney signed for Man U on 31/8/04 - i.e the last day of the transfer window.

So basically everything you just said was a load of lies. You seem intent on the club being portrayed as one big conspiracy that they’re all in on. And you’re stupid petulant name calling is childish, offensive and stupid. How you can treat someone like that who has saved our club from certain relegation/financial melt down is beyond me.

I take it that so disgusted with the way the club is being run that Waring, Marsh, Ramejkis et al are not renewing their season tickets.

Or are they that hypocritical.

Some of us come on and vent our anger and frustration at BK and his tenure as chairman and get pelted with personal attacks. Well its all good but there are still a lot of Evertonians around who were never hoodwinked or had there kecks pulled down by the BK/KW Bullshit machine.

You suckers are the real reason why the club is in such a mess. You will put up with any old shite year after year without so much as a whimper and when things go tits-up you just shrug and say "What can we do?" blah blah fucking blah. As for BK, he will keep on telling the likes of Phil Taylor and John Charles to bend over and take it in the backside like the great chaps you are and why not because you allow him to do so.

Keep it up guys, there's a mug born every minute.

All you people defending Kenwright have not got a clue. You all blindly read the Echo and believe every club statement released. The fact of the matter is that BK has no money and has fucked up the finances every opportunity he has had. The only reason we are in a better financial position is because the TV revenue has gone up not through his business nouse. If there is no investment opportunities out there why have Villa, Birmingham, QPR, Portsmouth, Man City, West Ham, Sunderland all been taken over in the last two years, all clubs of a similar or smaller size. If all you sentimentalists had your way Kevin Campbell and Duncan Ferguson would still be playing up front cause they had a good season once.

I voted Yes and I?ll vote yes till the day I die or until somebody else does what Knowsley Borough Council and Tesco did for our club, which is they gave us a lifeline, no strings attached chance to move into a scouse heartland 2 minutes from a motorway and a chance to better ourselves.

I for one feel the scheme is not yet dead but nevertheless it is now imperative that those who were against now have to put up or shut up (so to speak) with regard to a stadium elsewhere. It starts with Liverpool City Council stating Everton Football Club can build wherever they like within the confines of their arbitrary boundaries (they gave Liverpool Football Club carte blanche to build wherever they liked and broke a supposedly unbreakable covenant!). They could start by stating quite categorically that whatever footprint Everton want for Goodison they can have it?

KEIOC et al? wind their necks in and start supporting the club and not a stadium, what are you going to say if EG Tesco state they?ll build a new stadium for Everton in Speke? Twice as far away from County Rd than Kirkby! Tom Hughes and all those architects like HOK can now resubmit their plans WITH full costings please, planning permission and a partner like ?.Bestway!! Where?s the Loop then.. NOW?s your chance?.
To finish, we are now back to square one, no investment prospects, no stadium plans but loads of big mouths who seem to know it all... It?s time for them to prove they?re right!!

Ted Roberts - I see you make no mention of the £30m ringfenced money for the King’s Dock, when defending your hero.

Is this an oversight or did he not say this?
