Pienaar out. Worse it gets!!

Picture the scene. Full of optimism I turn on Sky Sports news and I spot a breaking news bar along the bottom of the screen. for a split second I thought maybe we've signed someone. Low and behold the word Everton came along.... HEART RACING...followed by the news that Pienaar is out for at least 6 weeks (3months more like).
I also see Everton are trying to get people to buy tickets for the match on Saturday by giving them a chance to be forst dibs on derby tickets. Whats next? Buy 1 get 1 free?
It's a sad time I fear. Time to batten down the hatches and get ready for a long frustrating season.
I do believe its just about now that David Moyes comes out and says that he expects big things from Tony Hibbert and England call ups for an in form Leon Osman this year. More PR nonsense. The thought of watching Osman getting thrown around, miscontrolling and giving the ball away 20 times a game annoys me. I can't see his worth anymore, If we sold him he would go to Derby or Wolves. Championship Player at best.
I am always positive and usually feel that there is something behind the scenes and on the horizon.
But I dont feel there is. Alan Smith doesnt excite me, although he is a trier I always thought he was the dirtiest player I seen playing the modern game, Vagner Love got his name cause he bedded so many birds as a youth player in Brazil so he headed away to the footballing heady heights of Moscow and Stephane M'Bia I know nothing about, Heard nothing about should I say.
I dont expect miracles but I expect something to look forward to, something to cling what little hope there is left to. At least I can look forward to Spurs disappointing again this season.

Looks like Pieneer has broken a bone in his foot and is out for 6 weeks.
Lucky we've got a massive squad and lots of cover.
Will we have a team come Saturday. Can anyone tell me who will play in midfield and up front. We are heading for a big dive this season. The size of this squad cannot sustain an injury crisis. We will struggle big time if we don't get players in.
Not sure how accurate but it's just flashed up on Sky sports that Pienaar's out for at least six weeks. Think I've missed out on too much pre-season to of any help to DM myself. After all the doom over the last few weeks it's all we need. Looks like it's going to be an interesting start to the season lads!
Seems only Arteta and Osman are fit. Guess it will be a 4-4-2 on sat with Neville in midfield and Jags at RB.
Even if we buy tomorrow DM won't chuck a new recruit in, will he? Not a good start!
It seems the soccer gods are truely against us this season...now we don't have to worry about Neville in central midfield, he will probably go on the wing now!!
Just heard that Pienaar could be out for 6 weeks with a broken metatarsal. This could mean a top ten finish would be hard to come by with what two established midfielders and nobody in yet?
Any new players will have to be thrown in, simple as. I doubt we?ll sign anyone this week though.
Baines on the wing I think, Jags in midfield and Osman playing as a second striker, awful awful news.
What with the breaking news about Pienaar... surely we have to look to getting in our main targets quickly.. Moutinho, M'Bia etc..
But as for getting much needed 'bodies' in who are experienced in the Premier League. How about turning our attentions to a short term contract deal (with a view to make an extended deal) for Freddie Ljungberg?
Seems only Arteta and Osman are fit. Guess it will be a 4-4-2 on sat with Neville in midfield and Jags at RB.
Even if we buy tomorrow DM won't chuck a new recruit in, will he? Not a good start!
Osman a Championship player, what a fucking joke. Some fans really are clueless.
He’s not the best player in the world but he’s far from a Championship player.
Well said Connor, calling Osman a Championship player? You ought to be ashamed, I’ve heard many a Kopite say the same thing. He’s a cracking little player, he’s got a class touch and has scored a fair few good goals for everton.
Get behind the Blues, whatever happens, we’ll definitely beat Blackburn, definitely. Let’s look at the positives, at least this Pienaar injury is going to force the issue. We definitely can’t go on like this, Moyes will know that, so let’s just wait and see what happens. We have money and a brilliant manager, you just wait my friend, good times are ahead.
Is Shandy still injured? Silly question?
No mention of it on the OS. There is a story about Jose Baxter saying he is ready to step up. Bloody better be he and all the other "promising youngsters". The only positve is I keep hearing Alan Hansen in my head saying "you win nothing with kids" and it’s 1995 and Man Utd just lost 3-1 to Villa ...and 10 months later the kids win the league. Dream on.
7-2-1 formation then for Saturday!
I hope I read some better news tomorrow!
I know my heart missed a beat too when I seen Everton where the breaking news sadly it is only bad news, now we really are short of bodies, still hopeful we sign Moutinho.
And apparently we are not going to be signing Love now either... how many more transfers can collapse? I am a thoroughly depressed Evertonian.
Just been speaking to my mate who works in France and apparently M?Bia is all over the news that Rennes have rejected a £9 million bid from Lyon? No talk whatsoever regarding Everton, also he is over at the Olympics therefore not available to sign anyway. Alan Smith is back in training with Toon and Keegan doesn't want to sell, Mountinho deal is dead as they are waiting for £20 million. Things are desparate, Fernandes wants to play in Spain this year, waiting for a statement from Neville in the papers saying that the youngsters are ready, he is Mick Lyons reborn.
(4-1-4-1)
Howard
Neville
Yobo
Lescott
Valente
Jagielka
Gosling
Arteta
Osman
Rodwell
Yakubu
Subs:
Turner
erm??
erm???
erm????
Mick Lyons?
Why doesn?t anyone include Andy van der Meyde when counting MFs? Yeah, he didn?t play much since coming here but if ever there was a need for him, this is it.
I have not posted before, as I always read things here with a pinch of salt, but today, I guess its time to sigh, throw my hands up in the air and say, "What a bloody mess of a preseason it has been."
New signings? We?ve had wool pulled over eyes time and time again. If we really wanted Moutinho, I am sure we would pay what Sporting wants, instead of mucking around like what we?ve done..... don?t be surprised if he signs for Arsenal tomorrow....
A sick, sick joke...
Jim, I wake up everyday with enthusiasm hoping we would sign somebody. You are not alone. Then I read that Arteta places his trust in Moyes that we’ll get the players BEFORE THE TRANSFER DEADLINE. Don’t worry there’s still 2 weeks to go then!
Sometimes I think the guitar ’blues’ were created by Everton.
If this is true, no report from the Club yet (not that it counts for much these days!), then the likely line-up for our opening game of the season (when we are meant to be at our strongest!) will look like;
Howard
Jagielka Yobo Lescott Valente
Neville
Arteta Rodwell Osman Baines
Yakubu
With the bench looking like
Ruddy
Baxter
Molyneux
Kissock
Gosling
Wallace
Jutkiewicz
Only change may be Vaughan if not suspended so we can play 4-4-2 with Neville moving to centre mid in place of Rodwell.
Incredible to think that if we do sign Smith he is likely to be an automatic starter! Who?d have picked that 3 months ago?
What's really disapointing though is the fact that if you look at our opening fixtures we could have got off to a great start and actually be one of the early leaders, now I?m just hoping we can actually field a team. Paradise lost anyone?
PS Can we still register Steve Round as a player?
You know something. I wake up, I press the refresh button and I actually thought we had signed someone. In fact the news was Piennar was injured. Maybe I can go back to bed now!!!!! Have I lost the plot and dreamed this but have we lost lots of players players and signed no one. I am going back to sleep now. Good night and good bye for our beloved Everton. The lack of players even cost us in our friendlies. I have my cousin who is an ace player. I really think when he comes out of his rehab Everton snap him up. He is better than that Smith bloke...
I agree with your last paragraph Peter H.
I thought the games leading up to the RS derby were winnable, ofcourse I was assuming that we’ll have new editions in our squad by now.We just have to hope that the lads perform well in the first few games until the ’eventual’ signings come in and then proceed from there........Assuming ie.
Congratulations Agent Kenwright, job well done, keep up the good work!
Yours,
Agent Johnson.
"I also see Everton are trying to get people to buy tickets for the match on Saturday by giving them a chance to be forst dibs on derby tickets. Whats next? Buy 1 get 1 free? It’s a sad time I fear."
Ummmm, they’ve been doing the derby priority thing for decades.
I agree what Tony Marsh said. We need at least 10 new players. Where do we get them from? It’s really worrying. What will happen if Arteta and Yakubu also get injured? Then we have to play Gosling, Baxter or Jutkiewicz. Imagine playing them in the Premier League. It will be a disaster.
Does anybody know for sure what is happening with Vaughan? Is he suspended if so for how long?
I think Hazel Blears should be used in a holding midfield role with her mate Colin Fitpatrick of KEIOC on the wing.
Sunderland have launched a new bid for Leighton Baines from Everton. The defender will cost Roy Keane around £6m - Seriously Everton is heading back to its tight arse days, its disgraceful what it expects from its skinny squad, pull your hands out of your pockets you scabs. Stop selling and start buying!
I give up. What a load of shite. No Vagner love as well as Moutinho not coming as well, even Newcastle won't give us Smith and its all quiet with M'Bia. Why the fuck cant we sign a player? Now Peanuts is out we are well and truly snookered. And they wonder why under 11,000 fans turned up against PSV. Our club is a joke. Why do I bother spending all my money on season tickets, kits for kids etc. Oh yeah because I' fucking stupid!!! Oh well, could be worse... could be a City fan!
Pure and simple... this club is a disgrace. BK has lost the plot, the purse and the fans. Shame, shame on you all in the money dept of EFC. Oh how the rich red Yanks must be laughing... I’m now looking forward to the derbies against Tranmere. Walk Davie M, someone will snap you up soon. We are not worthy.
I feel sick.
Pah... No need to panic just yet people. Don’t see us needing people that desperately for the 1st 2 weeks of the season.
Blackburn are all over the shop at the moment, no faith in Ince and his League 2-level assistant, their captain’s off at the Olympics with the Kiwi’s, they have sold their most likely source of creativity and one of the most underrated keepers ever and are looking to sell off Warnock and perhaps Santa Cruz by the weekend.
We’re likely to be played against a team of;
Robinson,
Emerton,
Samba,
Ooijer,
Olsson,
Vogel,
Reid,
Pedersen,
Villaneuva,
McCarthy,
Roberts.
No worries mate.
Sorry to sound like a deserter but my son and I will miss the first game of the season for I don?t know how many years. Having discussed it, we agree what?s the point of travelling 8 hours to Goodison from Carmarthen - 4 there and 4 back probaby in non-stop sheeting rain which is forecast for Saturday, just to see the kids play and no new signings. Would you do it? Mind you, probably come 3 pm Saturday we will regret our decision.
All of this negativity is going to get the club nowhere. Christ?s sake - do you think any players would want to join the club given the crap that?s posted on here? My old man says that our negativity is an embarassment - not even City, Blackburn or Boro fans are harping like we are and they?re all in far worse states than we are. We need to get behind the lads on Saturday with a full house - especially given that the likes of Baxter and Rodwell might be in line for a debut.
Experienced teams struggle with the fans turning on the club but what is an inexperienced side likely to do? Capitulate to a side like Blackburn in all likelihood (and let's not forget that their pre-season has been FAR worse than ours - manager gone, replaced with a league 2 boss, best player sold and an untried Chiliean for £3 million as his replacement and unrest with their remaining squad).
Let?s get behind the lads and hopefully the board will do their bit in the coming weeks. Side for Saturday that can beat Blackburn:
Howard, Jags, Yobo, Lescott, Baines, Neville, Rodwell, Osman, Arteta, Yakubu, Vaughan (or Baxter)(
And don?t even get me started on that nonsense about Osman being a Championship player...
Scott Milne...a pint of whatever you’ve been drinking please !!
No need to panic yet...INDEED !!
It may have escaped your notice but we’ve got no FUCKIN PLAYERS !!
This is as disappointed as I EVER felt in over forty years of following this ONCE great club...even including The Smith years.
What next sell Baines to Sunderland for £6mil to bolster a (obviously non-existent) transfer kitty that wont get spent...and leave us yet another player down.
Kenwright you have a lot to answer for...this club is a joke !!
Hey Guys, I’m not bad on the footy pitch, I play in the middle but I’ve played up front for a while... any others on here who can bring there boots along this Saturday.
We may need a few subs as well?? So who’s up for a game against Blackburn?? We need two defenders, two midfielders and one striker... oh, hell just everyone bring there boots just incase we dont have a team
I am one of the few Moyes and BK supporters who think that they are doing the best for the club. Moyes cant do any more but he needs to sign now as far as BK is concerned the bull shit has to stop now, how much of a mess are we in? I for one would rather be told bad news than be feed crap. NO MONEY NO SIGNINGS NO NEW GROUND. Come on BK if you want to keep what is left of the respect of those supporters who believe you only have the best interests of OUR club at heart come clean NOW. And yes I am really worried about the coming season. Sod Europe, I'm just hoping we can stay up!!
Really bad news about Pienaar. I thought he looked in trouble at the PSV game on Saturday. Jagielka gave him a real hospital pass (in every sense it seems now) and he got done by a PSV player while overstretching to get the ball.
Wasn’t the only pass like this that Jags gave on Saturday. BTW I am not Jags bashing - I really like him but he needs to get his range sorted asap
Its like mutiny on here now. We are at each others throats about the club. Someone says something and then its shot down and the word Kopite comes out. And the men in charge dont give a toss I bet. We are not doom merchants we are realists. At the end of last season Moyes said he had one of the smallest squads in the league and needed to strengthen. 4-5 out and 0 in. Thats strengthening alright.
The rumours about him falling out with BK about the lack of professionalism and failure to sign players is looking right, He will be off to Man Utd as assistant before October. I bet you.
Bit of FM for Saturday. Right here goes...
Howard
Neville Yobo Lescott
Valente
Arteta Jagielka Rodwell
Baines
Osman The Yak
Thats enough to win most matches at home. Midfield is weak though, but defensively its not far from first choice.
Just looking at it again, its the Walter Smith formation!! Two defenders and a defensive CM in midfield! Ha ha d?oh
Bench:
John Ruddy
Steve Round
Bloke from steps
Shawaddy Waddy
Paul Gascoigne
Fit one from Atomic Kitten
Sylvester Stallone
Thats meant to be 4 5 1, came out wrong
And to think...we?re scratching about for a side and one of our young hopefulls is swanning about in China. Just where does Anichebes? loyaties lie? Are Nigeria paying his wages while he?s away? He should be ashamed of himself.
Gareth Oughton, what makes you think any player in the world would be reading this site?!
I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t know bollox about business strategies. So could someone please explain to me why Everton released a story yesterday from Nuno Valente saying what a good buy Moutinho would be, followed by a story from Arteta saying ’let’s not worry about signings...etc.’
Sometimes (most oif the time) I really don’t understand my beloved.
Reg, I can’t believe that even though there’s so much blame being thrown around on this site, you’ve managed to lay some on poor old Victor.
What the hell can he do about the club’s transfer policy? He was given leave to go to the Olympics months ago, and rightfully jumped at the chance to represent his country in the world’s greatest sporting event. Obviously he knew he might miss the first couple of games of the season - but given that at the time he was clearly fourth choice striker in a team which normally only uses one, I think it was reasonable of him to assume we would cope without him for a fortnight?
You’re the one who should be ashamed.
Just to top it all off it looks like the deals for Vagner Love and Smith are duds.
I just cant understand why Everton F.C cannot do anything right.
If we go into the season with that squad then we are asking for some major problems along the way and once the window closes there is little we can do to rectify it.
We can blame bad luck on Pienaar’s injury as it is bad luck for him but the situation Everton find themselves in is no-ones fault other then their own, we have had all summer to add to the squad and replace the players who left the squad early in the close season,no excuses for it.
I for one am glad that Victor Anichebe is at the Olympics with Nigeria. Great goal the other day against Japan.
The experience will do him the world of good and he should return a better player.
Even though we’re short of numbers, we should have enough up front to cope until his return.
We should still do Blackburn on saturday with the players we have and with being at home (providing the crowd get behind the lads). We managed to do them when we got our keeper sent off after about 7 minutes and Beattie was on the pitch! We can still put out a strong 11 on saturday! COYB
We are getting relegated. Anyone who says where to good to go down, remember Leeds? Going into the season with two midfielders. No balance in the team at all. Players playing out of position. No options on the bench. Am pretty confident we won’t be signing anyone. There’s only two weeks left. Can’t see 5 6 players coming in.
Poor Moutinho, His getting booed by fans cause of us. Where going out making token bids and messing players minds up.
Let’s see what happens on Saturday shall we.? Let’s see what the result is...what the line up is and what the performance is like. Then we can pass judgement on something concrete instead of making ridiculous predictions about relegation and getting upset about rumours.
@ Steve Smith, I’m loving your bench mate, that’s brightened up my otherwise shit morning no end! Shawaddy Waddy....superb!
What will people do on Saturday if this is our squad and no one else signs? I’m not going because I’m on holiday but are people actually thinking of not going? Or are people going but planning on just sitting there and chanting about our history or are people going to be genuinely pissed off and start shouting abuse at the board? I am very very intrigued.
Moyes is either in on the lies or has been fed the same bullshit as the rest of us. Personally I believe that he is waiting to sign his contract to see if the transfer kitty he has been told is there, is actually there. If not then I'm afraid come the first of September we will need a new manager as well as up to 8 players. If BK does not come through this time I really think DM will walk and who could blame him. Normally I'm excited for the start of new season but this year I am full of dread. We have the smallest squad in the league and a lot of those are young prospects.
Now I'm not a BK hater, he has done all he can with the funds he has. But can he seriously expects us to believe that there is know one who wants to invest in the club. Liverpool, Newcastle, Man City, Sunderland and Villa are just a few of the clubs that have been taken over in the recent past. Why them and not us? Is the club in that much debt that nobody is willing to take it on ?(barcodes £165m debt) Is BK wanting to continue to have a say in the running of the club ? Two clubs in one city ?( Man City) Or do we need the big 50,000 seater stadium to attract investors?
One more query, Why go into partnership with Tesco when the government clearly seem to have a big problem with them? Calling it in was inevitable.
Hope I?m wrong but looks like a long hard season ahead of us.
Are Everton having trials, at this rate we may aswell get some going cos this is looking bad, Kenwright out !!!!! and have a collection and we might get going.

We are absolutely screwed and you can all thank Mr Moyes for bringing no-one in! What a fool! What on earth is he playiing at? What’s the team going to be for the first game then? Why have I paid 400 odd quid for a season ticket to watch the youth team? It’s no wonder they do that early bird offer so you get fooled into buying one early on and don’t wait for the signings over the summer before buying one. We really couldn’t be much more doomed! Osman and Arteta is the midfield going into the season, I can’t begin to imagine in a few months if we get more injuries. I’m dreading the derby this year more than ever!
Just when you think that things couldn?t possibly get any worse they suddenly do (from The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy).
We’re signing Alan Smith..... No we’re not !
Love is coming on loan.... erm no he isn’t.
Moutinho will be our new record signing...... don’t think he will.
M’bia ? ..... Mmmm maybe not.
I an see us signing Coco The Clown. He would feel at home in the circus !
Neil Colleran - finally a man with a bit of sense. I agree, BK has done right by us as much as he could. But its becoming like a hobby that he cant afford to keep at this rate. he has admitted he is on the lookout for a buyer. I reckon Moyes has become fed up to the teeth with EFC and the way its handled. Great history, great fans, great club. Shit management.
The Tin Pot Travelling Circus want the money up front and Kenwright is only willing to pay for Coco’s services in 2p installments

It’s an absolute joke! I can’t believe things have got this bad going into a new season! Kenwright out and Moyes should get his fukin act together! He says he wouldn’t settle for second best...well I’d rather have second best than no-one at all! I’m so pissed off! It only takes one injury like Pienaar’s to completely put us in the shithouse. I wouldn’t be surprised if we struggle to get results against West Brom and Stoke at this rate. I can’t even see us finishing in the top ten and as for europe we may aswell put our youth team out, because we can’t afford to risk playing the few first team players we have left!
Anthony,
Jokes are funny, this clearly isn’t !
Alan - that was a classic
just made me laugh out loud in a quiet office. Jesus it is a joke though. Its embarassing. Remember a few years ago Martyn, Kilbane and a heap of players signed on the last day. It's all we can hope for now. Come back Pistone, all is forgiven

I just hope Moyes signs some players before the end of the transfer window or we can all wave goodbye to the likes Lescott and Arteta, because do you honestly think they are prepared to waste their career at a team playing alongside youth players week in week out when they could play alongside world class players? I’d never forgive Moyes or Kenwright if we sign no-one!
We are a joke don’t think anyone will be signed Moyes won’t sign his contract or he would of by now its just so frustrating i wish i could just switch off & not care but we all do. I don’t think the Rooney summer was this bad because we did’nt have any expectation that close season but to get so close last season only to be undone by a lack of numbers & a few dodgy decisions we should of been kicking on lets just hope we get a good start Saturday or i think the knives may come out for Moyes aswell.
I cant beleive we are in this situation. For months it has been the same, all talk and no action. Another point, how do the echo seem to know so much? they tell us on daily basis that Smith, Love, M'Bia etc are all coming in shortly, i.e within 48 hrs.... But then the time passes and nothing at all concrete on the EC site. I will believe it when I see it....

We need Cars back and Mcfadden and AJ and Manny!
BlOODY HELL, with a subs bench on saturday comprising of Rodwell Giosling Baxter Wallcace Jutzewitz Kissock etc it looks more like a 5th form end of term trip... or is Kissock A levels age??
or... if we have a bit of faith lads, our line up for saturday could be....
Howard
Neville
Yobo
Jagielka
Lescott
Arteta
Mbia
Moutinho
Osman
Love
Yakubu......
we can all dream!
I’m driving up from London on Saturday morning, taking my Mrs to Goodison for the first time too. Dunno if I can be arsed now, not sure if I can take the embarrassment and trying to justify to her why this is the club I’ve supported since I was 5, she’ll think I’m a mentalist. Seriously though, I think this’ll be a piss poor game with an atmosphere to match. Both teams seem to be down to the bare arse and lacking in confidence. I await a game of hoof ball, stray passes and limited chances for both.
All together now.............. whose dreading the result of the Derby in September?
Agree 100% with you Anthony, Moyes is getting away with any criticism whatsoever, he is the man who identifies transfer targets and dictates our tactics not Kenwright. The manager is as guilty as anyone for the situation we find ourselves in. Don't come on and give me this bullshit about his hands being tied regarding transfers, his hands havent been tied about signing his own contract either. Why hasn't he walked away if he was that unhappy? He has chosen not to strenghten the squad, Now with his shameless disregard for the fans of this once great club we go into the season as pessimistic as I have ever known.
Come on Moyes come out and publicly reveal why you have hardly spoke to the press or the fans since the end of last season, and why no new signings (including your own) have not been made with only 4 days before our first game. I know Kenwright is ultimately responsible for the club, but I also think Dithering Dave should shoulder some of the blame and responsibility of this fiasco we find ourselves in.
no joke... Gazza is a free agent like. He at least could keep the bench warm!
Steve Ashton, your obviously deluded, if you think we haven’t got a relegation battle. two midfielders going into the season and a bunch of kids. Moyes will walk if no signings come in. Anymore injuries and we’ll be fucked even more.
That’s what the Leeds fans used to say: ’where to good to go down’.
If we had a fully fit squad i think we’ll be o.k. But that isn’t the case.
Patty,
I?m not dreading the derby one bit. You need 11 players who are proud to wear the blue shirt and you've got a chance, by then we will have enough players, and btw you will definately regret it if you're not there on Saturday.
I'm fucking sick the way it?s gone so far but im not going to miss games because of it, Why? Because our club is in the shit and we need to get down to Goodison and give these kids who will no doubt be playing a proper Goodison roar, who knows it may be enough to lift the them (whoever plays) and get us a result.
I remember laughing at Chelsea?s shit support in the Carling Cup, if we all stop going the game we?ll be a laughing stock ourselves.
The people who have got us into this shitty situation will have to answer for themselves at the EGM!!!
Steve Cavanagh. Why do you say that there are loads of kopites on here. Surely we have the right to get upset by the shite thats been going on during the summer. We should be negative because our club hasnt been anything other than negative during the summer. We are fans so we get upset and demand better. I for one expect better even if you dont
Someone mentioned earlier that Moyes is getting slack for no good reason, we read months ago that he gave two lists to Bill, the A list and the B list so to speak.
His targets were identified and Bill’s pathetic interview last week revealed that he has been shown the "targets" by DVD.
Moyes knows who he wants and so does Bill but nothing has been done about it. I can see Moyes doing one soon and who can blame him. This pre-season is the worst in all my days since I started supporting Everton
So when are the club going to realise this is a major crisis? I’m fuming - this was the summer that we were going to build to break into the top four - it should the the main ambition from the base we’re starting at. Its pathetic yet where’s the urgency to get even someone in on short term loan to help us out?
Baines, Jagielka and Rodwell will start in midfield on Saturday - we concede first how are we going to get back into the game? We could set the club back four years through rank bad management this summer. What a shambles.
Also I forgot to ask if the author of the thread was a subject of Yoda?
Wise, he is! ;-)
More bad news on top of the peanuts injury I’m afraid.
My Nana has lost her footy boots so will no longer be able to sit on the subs bench this Saturday.
Jesus no please it cant be.
God we are well and truely FUCKED, Moyes, Kenwright, Wyness I salute you.
Mid table here we come!
Tony
You are correct Moyes gave the board an A and B list before the end of last season and imo WE SHOULD ATTACH NO BLAME TO MOYES for this fiasco.
Bill then forgot to inform him that there’s no plan B at EFC and we couldnt afford plan A.
Chief Exec then informs DM, 1 month before the season starts, DM blows a gasket and gives CE a vote of no confidence, enter the ringmaster,CE departs , smoke and mirrors act comes into play but hey just "Watch this space".
He will come out in a couple of weeks and say "space" meant the area of the pitch where we have no players.
Jim... Your heart was racing? Sort yourself out.
Osman a Championship player? You must be fucking joking.
Quit moaning about the lack of players coming in will you. Look forward to Saturday and I can see you totally changing your stance from doom and gloom to a slight sense of more optimism when we put Blackburn in their place.
I think the number of contributions to this thread suggest that most Evertonians have reached breaking point with regards to new signings. And why not?
This truly is a shambles, scrambling for players just days before the start of the season. The prospect of fielding untried youngsters. Our midfield will be simply consist of whoever is fit, and could well include the likes of Neville and Baines (I thought they were defenders). What happens if we suffer a couple of injuries on Saturday?
And before anyone suggests calm and points to the end of August transfer deadline. Sorry - not good enough, other clubs can sign players in advance why can’t we?
Last year we finished 5th and with the right quality added the team would have been ready to challenge for 4th. Now months later and we’re struggling to pick 11 players. What has happened?
I Came onto the site to see if there were any developments in the signing of our reinforcements and I can’t believe what I’m reading. Have I missed something - yesterday we were all waiting with baited breath for the imminent announcement of the signing of three International players and Smith from Newcastle.
I have never in all the years of following the blue’s known anything like it. Were is all the bullshit coming from, the Echo, the Club or just wishful fans. One things for sure none of us have any idea of what’s going on, I only hope the Moysey and BK get their acts together and give the most loyal support in the land something to get excited about
