New Midfielder!

Comments (6)

On the official site there is an interview with Jags and goes on to say:

?He's a smashing lad,? the midfielder told evertonTV. ?He's a really, really confident lad but you can't get that confused with arrogance.

Are they trying to pull the wool over our eyes or what?

Will they will be trying to convince us that Baines was brought in as a LM?

Sign of things to come? I know this is being very pedantic, but has anyone noticed the headline on the OS? When talking about Jagielkas views on Baxter, they state that the "England midfielder is impressed by attitude of 16-year-old striker."

Surely they mean England defender? Or has Moyes found his Carsley replacement?! After his performances there last season, I bloody hope not!

On the OS Phil Jagielka is interviewed about Jose Baxter, only Jags is introduced as "the England midfielder". Personally I only remember him playing in defence for his country, but what do I know.

Anyway, there I was thinking we were short of midfielders. All we need to do is stick Jags and Neville in midfield and you never know, John Ruddy may have some surprising ball skills.

Signings, who needs 'em!

The Joy of Spin: I see on the OS they're now referring to Jagielka as an 'England Midfielder'. Oh the joy of spin, we can take it as red that he'll be playing in midfield come Saturday.

I'm actually quite excited about the Blackburn Match as I honestly believe that our manager is at his best when he is up against it. He'll have them fired up and I do expect us to win. Here's hoping!!!!

The question I keep asking myself is..

Is the current squad better than the 2004-05 squad?

This usually makes me feel better about everything and I like to try and pull the wool over my own eyes.

Baloo the answer is debatable but what we cant dispute is that the other teams around us have significantly better squads than their 2004/05 squads

FYI guys the word ’midfileder’ has now been removed from the OS article. Was that because someone actually finally QC’ed the article, or did they realise that websites like this were just taking the piss out of them for trying to convince us that Jags isn’t a fucking shit midfielder?!! (top DF in my view though!)
