It is shocking. Especially Jagielka. Awful. This is called relegation football.
I wonder how we can score a goal in this match.

I no longer believe that we can secure 13 points from our first five games. Blackburn should be a comfortable season opener but we look unprepared and poor.

If we lose this game I fear a heavy backlash. Where the fuck is James Vaughan?

We have to thank Robinson for that. But it was a brilliant free-kick by Mikel. Our only hope will be free-kicks and corners. It says a lot really that a team like Blackburn is much better than Everton. We were with our backs against the wall in the first half.

Extremely disappointing. I'm at a loss as to why we haven't purchased any players at all and sold one of the main strikers we had. Whether it's the economic environment, Bill Kenwright or Moyes dithering, I think we've seen the best of the Moyes era last season. Everything we built for last season required just a final few pieces in the jigsaw to make it complete and yet we decided to lose a few pieces along the way. My only saving grace from today was the performance of the two youngsters, I think they did themselves proud.

Rob, I don’t know what game you were watching. Perhaps you thought we were good in the second half because of how unbelievably awful we were in the first?

Jagielka was appalling; he can’t play in midfield again. I’d prefer Baxter or Kissock, or even Lescott. Anybody but him.

Baines didn’t look up to it either today, which is a worry.

I thought Rodwell showed potential, but he wasn’t half thrown into the deep end today.

We’re in big trouble. I’ve seen a lot of fans on here describe weeks this summer as ’massive weeks’ and then nothing has happened. Well, this is a massive week coming up now. And if nothing happens, I can honestly see Moyes walking. I wouldn’t blame him.

The one and only positive (there were a lot of negatives) is that Jack Rodwell and Jose Baxter gained valuable first team experience and they can build on this now Im not saying they can play every game but they can certainly start improving game by game as of now.

That was very poor. Dreadful in the first half, which was rescued only by the brilliance of Arteta. A bit better in the second half while still looking vulnerable. Good play for the second goal but awful defending by Lescott for their equaliser.

We need new players in, pure and simple. It?s been the case since the last game of last season and it remains the case. It?s obvious to everyone!

It's a shame that this result has now compounded all of the negativity that has been coming from the club lately.
