Alan Smith

I saw the Newcastle squad in Manchester earlier today, they were crossing in front of my car, I wound my window contemplating abuse to Keegan but saw Alan Smith, I asked him if he was signing and he said, "I hope so".... Nothing to gain from saying this, but I asked him and that's what he replied. Let's see who we get, don't really want him but anyone will do hey!

JEEZ............I HOPE NOT !!!!!!!!!!!!!

No thank you Alan !

Is that offer of ?your money back for his transfer? still available from Leighton Baines ?

We were right about that player the first time, when we freed him.

Remember all these punters who were slagging me off for suggesting that we would struggle to take fourth place....................................WOULD ANY OF YOU NOW SETTLE FOR 5th PLACE NOW ?

Did you really? I have many reasons for not believing this pile of tosh, the biggest one being not abusing Keegan. If true, what a missed opportunity. He would have loved it, just loved it.

Alan Smith would be a good addition to our squad if we can call it that, he can play in a few positions and will give 100% every time he plays. But we really need a lot more than him to sort us out and it has to happen fast or at the end of the season we will be missing those dropped points at the beginning and we wont be able to blame the refs for once.

Alan Smith would be a great signing for Everton. I was in the Nova tel hotel tonight and I tell you I thank god I am an Evertonian born and bred 4 miles from Goodison (tho in the Sefton Boro Council area) you should've seen the nationalities with Manu tops on, it was unbelievable!! I was sitting with Man Utd fans who had stopped going since the yanks arrived and they were embarrassed by it!! Despite what is happening, we still belong to our great club.

Peter... you dont need to apologise for being from Sefton. It's your team as much as it is anyone else's mate.

Maybe I did miss the opportunity to abuse Keegan, but with the whole squad walking in front of my car I wasn't too confident, McDermott as well, error!!

Alan Smith Number 9 - please no!!

What were they doing crossing a road? Surely the bus drops them right at the door and collects them from there?

They were walking around the ciy centre, think they had been the science museum, either that or stayed in the Hilton and had just gone for a general stroll

Is anyone suprised Moyes hasn't looked at some of the talent in the Championship? Do not get me wrong, I think a team like Everton should be buying ready made stars such Moutinho.

But we obviously haven't got the dollar, so instead of shit Premier League players like Alan Smith, surly an up and coming Championship youngster is worth a punt. He has done it before successfully.

How about Ebanks-Blake or Kightly at Wolves for example?
