Goodison Gold

So, there I am sitting watching the TV this morning and I flick over to Sky Sports News in the vain hope we have signed Kaka, and I see the words 'BREAKING NEWS - GOODISON GOLD!'

I leap to my feet breakfast flying everywhere, as I rub the sleep from my eye's I try and focus on the screen, with my mind working over time, Gold, the geezer from Birmingham is buying us? We've signed a player so great Sky Sports don't even give us the name, just GOODISON GOLD.

Now don't get me wrong, I am as patriotic as the next person, however I have to confess to being slightly disappointed to hear of Paul Goodison's Gold medal this morning as I poured my second bowl of Bran Flakes.

I don?t know how many times You have to hear it but David Moyes will make half a dozen good quality signings before the new deadline.
BB has told you, Davey himself has told you and I just cannot believe after all the success both of them have brought us, normally sensible and trusting Evertonians have to keep harping on.
Do you honestly think you could do as good a job of managing the affairs of our great club as those two have done over the past six years?
Just have patience and faith. I?m fed up of repeating the obvious!

Richard Dodd, you clearly weren?t at the match on saturday.

I see your point, and we probably will make some signings, but we needed them 8 weeks ago for pre-season.

By the time the team starts to gel we will be in a relegation battle with Hull.

Speaking of the Olympics, well done to our very own Victor on earning himself at least a Silver medal. Lets hope the Super Eagles can perform well in the final so he can come home with a Gold, maybe his winning confidence can rub off on the rest of the squad when he gets back.

I had a similar feeling when I caught a glimpse of the yellow breaking news bar at the bottom of the screen something about Ameobi.

I just wanted it to be us who was signing him, not because I rate him or could get excited about him.

I just wanted us to sign SOMEONE, ANYONE, please put an end to this agony !!

Please bring on 1st September then I can hibernate for the winter, cant stand it any more !!!

@Richard Dodd: Have you ever read "Candide" by Voltaire? It?s the story of a man who witnesses one atrocity, disaster and misfortune after the other but still desperately believes that this is "the best of all possible worlds". Even he becomes disillusioned by the end of his travels.

I shall watch the activities of the next fortnight with interest in the sincere hope that you are actually right. If you are not, will finally recant and admit the possibility that all is not in the best of possible shape at EFC?

And you never actually answered a thread the other day in which I asked why the "credit lines were opened last Friday". Where were the funds that BK promised earlier in the close season?
