So at last we have reached the letter Z in the alphabet! Perhaps the stupid "we are linked with (insert name)" will now stop.

I am away to New York for a week tomorrow and intend to have a complete break from the debacle that has become Everton's pre-season. Maybe when I get back it will all be better...........! See you on the flip side

Well, after waiting all summer for at least one signing I?m going on vacation on Sunday 31st and won?t have access to a pc until at least a week later!
So no doubt we?ll buy six players on that last day of the transfer window but I?ll be clueless about it!
Go figure!

It’s too easy to predict long ball football should this guy sign. Yes he’s 6’8’’ but he is actually a better player with the ball at his feet.

He does offer the team height, and the option of playing the ball in the air to the upfront areas, but I don’t ever think this will change. We even did that with Andrew Johnson upfront, and Leon Osman had much of the same last Saturday against Blackburn.

So people who are deterred by this guy potentially signing because of the prospect of playing hoof ball, well, we already play it most times so its not really a case of turning into a hoof ball team, more a case of having a little bit more success with it!

A tall forward wouldn’t do us any harm though. We looked like a bunch of midgets against Blackburn and they’re not the tallest club

Everton PR Dept math:

6’8"/2 = 3’4" = Avg Height Everton Player

Therefore Zigic = 2 signings!

I always rated Zigic especially his 2nd goal against Roma, although he does appear to have gone off the boil, he has two decent feet and header on him and if Chuckle has to launch it at every opportunity at least one Everton player would have a chance of winning the ball.

Unfortunately with Bullshit Billy involved we won’t see anyone new just the same lame excuses or he might surprise us with a new one like the agent let us down but not any of the other EPL sides.

I think Arsenal were on the verge of signing Inler earlier in the summer. Well, according to the papers.

Tom, if anything can help you forget about this pre-season it’s a trip to New York. I was there a month ago. Absolutely amazing place, enjoy!

If we havent signed anyone within the next 70 mins we will go into tommorows game with the same squad as last week. Although there is bound to be a surprise injury or two, Everton are good at them. I'm sorry but Moyes and Kenwright have got no excuses left this time. In the last week weve done cock all again. How can this be happening? Fucking ludicrous.

Another day, another player we fail to sign, another name linked, another player we fail to sign.

This has gone well beyond a joke now - WE WILL NOT SIGN ANYONE BEFORE THE DEADLINE.

I’ve given up all hope now. Our season will be extremely tough, if we make the top 10 I’ll be happy and the sooner we drop out of the UEFA cup the better!

Panic over gentlemen.

I have it on ?a reliable source? that the apparent delay in signing players is because the club have have run out of shirts and we?ll be signing tons the minute JJB gets some in.....

How hard are they working to bring in the shirts? If I know good old Bill he’ll be on it 24/7 until JJB’s shelves are re-stocked.

David Moyes has admitted that there is a possibility that Everton may not sign any new players before the end of the transfer window, and that the Blue’s season could be over before Christmas if that happened.

’There is a good possibility we won’t get anyone, and if that happens I don’t think we could get through to January,’ he said.

’We’ll keep striving to sign players but it’s not open season, like it was six or eight weeks ago.

ARE KIDDING DAVID MOYES FUCK OFF ALSO !!!
